1929 Ford Model A Additional Info:
1929 Model A Ford Coupe. This is a traditional hotrod that has a very cool look that is period correct to the 50's and 60's with a Rockabilly style. The car is a well built car that can be driven anywhere. I do have a real title in hand and the car does have a real VIN plate and number. The 1929 vanity plates will remain on the vehicle for decoration. The 33 Ford grill is very rare and matches the cars styling. This car is low to the ground and does ride rough as you would expect from a vehicle of this vintage. The suspension is a straight axle I-Beam front with shocks and Large Coil Over Race shocks for the rear. The body is matt black and left to look vintage. There is windshield, quarter and rear glass but no door glass. There is a 10 gal poly tank, trans cooler, battery and storage tray in the trunk area.
This car is very comfortable and large on the inside for a Model A. I am 6'2 and 250 pounds. I fit in the car with no problem. The steering wheel is removable and the shifter is tall and well placed. There is a Pabst Blue Ribbon tap handle for a shifter handle. There is blinker, brake and Headlight.
I have owned this car since 2016. This car was put together for me and no cheap stuff was used. I wanted it to look old school vintage rockabilly style cool. You could raise the car and it would ride better for sure. I am heavy into Gasser drag racing now and just do not have time to use the car anymore. I hate to see such a cool car sitting here not being used.
The engine is a small block Chevrolet custom build to match the car. It is a 383 inch rotating assembly with a Eagle crank and nice rods, forged 9-1 pistons to match the supercharger, comp cams hydraulic roller cam and roller lifters, roller rockers and comp push rods, custom high port aluminum heads with super large valves, intake manifold has had extensive raised port matched welding and the 671 blower (supercharger) was originally polished but is now painted matt black to match the theme of the car, 2 Demon Jr. 750 blower carbs with electric choke and a large blower scoop with proper filters.
The transmission is a GM Turbo 350 with a 25-2800 stall converter. There is a transmission cooler mounted in the trunk area. The shifter is a B&M with a Pabst tap handle. The transmission was totally rebuilt and gone through when the car was assembled in 2016.
The rear end is a GM 10 bolt with a new limited slip posi unit. The rear gear is around 300 ratio and the car will cruise well at MPH.
Tires and wheels were new at time of build.
I have multiple videos of the car running. I have a little over $11,000 in the engine. I had it built by a real deal engine/machine shop that builds engines for stockcar driving experience cars. It was built to drive and use.
