1975 Ford F-250 Additional Info:

'75 F-250 full time 4x4 with divorced transfer case. Original chassis/cab from the factory per the VIN. Someone has welded diamond plate in the bed and installed an aftermarket radio and horns. Rims are 17's instead of original 16.5. All original otherwise.

Truck runs and drives and has the 360 FE motor paired with a C6 automatic transmission. I have a 351W that has been fully rebuilt which can be added after the auction for an additional cost should you want a spare that will work with this truck.

This truck really deserves to be restored. I'm a diehard Ford fan, and really don't want it going for parts as original as it is. The sticker is still mostly on the valve covers to the motor. I'm hoping it goes to someone who will restore it to sell it to a deserving individual, or will restore it for themselves.

Good:

  • Awesome interior. Truck odometer days 77k and I don't doubt it based on condition. The story was this was a barn find from the previous owner. I cannot verify that, but it really looks like it.
  • New battery
  • New 35x12.5 General Grabber tires with less than 20 miles on them. I did have plans and started them, but then decided to focus on my other vehicles.
  • New fluids, spark plugs, distributor.

Not so good/needs fixed that I am aware of:

  • Transfer case chain needs replaced. It will engage/disengage from 4WD, but the chain slop makes noise while driving. Front driveshaft removed and runs fine without it but is no longer 4WD at this point. Still have the driveshaft and will include that with the truck.
  • Small hole in passenger fender. Can be patched versus replaced. It's visible in pictures.
  • Power assist steering lines leak some.
  • radio powers on, but I don't hear it. Speakers are likely needing to be replaced.
  • Grille insert on passenger side missing one bar. Cheap fix as inserts are cheap. Frame of grille is fine.
  • Has likely never had a gasket replaced in its lifetime. Have a whole new set ready to be installed, and a shift kit for the C6.

Love the truck, don't need more than one project at a time and my '57 F-100 is my priority. Test drives with cash in hand. Truck is located in central TX and is sold as-is where-is with no warranty offered or implied. Inspections are welcome to determine condition of the truck PRIOR to auction ending. For being over 40 years old, this truck is in great shape but this is not a show truck. An inspection and registration would make this truck street legal. There is surface rust, but no holes through other than the one fender that I can see. Please review all pictures and ask any questions you may have. I will help with transport i.e. meeting a hauler.
