I am selling my 1958 FORD FAIRLANE 500 SKYLINER - Retractable CONVERTIBLE! This car was purchased in California about 3 years ago, I then had it spruced up or "restored" with shops in California about 2 years ago to be an attractive driver, I have been ill off & on since then so the car remained and is presently in Paso Robles, California at storage.; Ford Skyliner made significant changes during the 3 year run 1957,1958,& 1959 in the "retractable hardtop-convertible" to make having one of each of these a relatively rare and certainly unique car collection! This 1958 was bought, then"restored" cosmetically and mechanically as needed including making sure mechanical top was working fine when mechanic finish car then sent to restoration shop, and is presently stored and to be picked up in Paso Robles, California.
COMES WITH FENDER SKIRTS (painted to match body) & owners manual, plus other manual and sales literature, etc.
I had it painted there in California by recommendation from the fellow I bought Skyliner from- new Red & white two-tone paint job with all body prep, work, undercoating, engine painted, new correct pattern seat covers, new door panels &new carpet, carb rebuilt and all basic mechanical needs addressed at the time. It does still need the headliner and and a few pieces could use rechroming to upgrade, but fine for driving now!Nice wide Whitewall tires! I believe that I paid the mechanic for a new battery, I will try to pay someone out there to charge the battery and start her up to be ready for your transporter. The storage office has the keys. Comes with the car cover and I will also pay someone to detail it before pickup. Car was delivered to storage about a year and a half ago, and there she is! I spent $ thousands & $ thousands and never made it out to California. So I am selling it there, you'll pick it up at the Paso Robles 93446 Storage facility.I am selling it AS-IS, WHERE IS as is the norm with vintage cars, deposit must be received within 24hrs. and FULL PAYMENT to be received within 7 DAYS OR SOONER via BANK TRANSFER.Please do read my 100% POSITIVE FEEDBACK as a LIFELONG CAR COLLECTOR with 20 YEARS ON EBAY!!!I have had some beautiful cars over the past 35+ years and through the years when I parted with this car or that one the buyers were always satisfied, because I also chose interesting cars and I priced them based on my good buy years before, so you can bid with confidence! My father was also a car collector back in 1950's so I rode in old Jaguars, Packards,Cords, and so many other rare cars!I MUST SELL my cars due to my health, so it will be a good buy for a nice California convertible in beautiful two-tone red & white with the 300hp engine!
You can call me from 2pm eastern until 11pm (917)687-6290
They have big fins and are relatively rare 1950's classics that many sellers are asking $35,000 to $60,000+ these days! I think someone will be enjoy driving this convertible, it looks nice yet is not some concours trailer queen that is too perfect to drive! I will pay someone at the storage to clean and detail the car before you have it picked up. And I will mail you all paperwork including, sales literature & owners manual, etc. You may see a few Skyliner convertibles now and then but they are relatively rare and it more than likely that you'll ne the only one a your car shows! It was the best of both worlds... a Hardtop coupe for rainy days & winter and then Convertible when days are nice! What a sight to see when the top folds and goes into the trunk! Everyone stops to looks when you pull that top switch!BECAUSE I WANT IT SOLD WITHOUT DELAY, I HAVE PRICED IT TO BE A GREAT DEAL,. A BARGAI, with a VERY LOW "BUY IT NOW"PRICE, as you know the 1958 Ford Fairlane 500 Skyliner "retractable" Convertibles are generally $35,000 to $50,000+. AND THIS ONE HAS THE BEST/FASTEST ENGINE OPTION!BUY IT NOW and Drive it next week! Please don't bid unless you have the funds ready to buy the car and can arrange for transporter within about 2 weeks.Storage paid through end of month. I will help you find tranporter if needed.20+ years on ebay, 100% positive feedback. Nearly 500 satisfied buyers over the 20 years! I am no longer driving or using my classic cars therefor selling them. In about 2 weeks from now I will have my last car on ebay a 1959 Cadillac coupe(exc. driver), as well as my beautiful 26' Wellcraft Cabin cruiser with GM 5.7 Mercruiser also for sale, which I'll have on ebay in about a week if I get some help to go take pictures.
