1958 Ford Fairlane Additional Info:

From the Hills of Pennsylvania. This Auction is for a 1958 Ford Skyliner retractable hardtop convertible interceptor H-Code. The car was hidden away in storage for the last 37 years. The car has 83,442 original miles on it. The engine starts and runs smooth, It seems to have a lot of power and can spin the tires with out trying. The transmission bites right into gear in forward and reverse. The floor seems very solid and still show the factory stampings. You can jump up and down on them and your not going to fall through. The car is not a flintstone mobile like most of these that turn up are. The car was last painted in the late 1960s, the lower rear quarters are said to have been replaced back then but they used factory metal replacement panels. There is a picture of magnets sticking to the lower quarter panels to show metal was used.(Please see pics) Some things to note, the drivers side window is cracked, I have not attempted to operate the top. I did not want to risk damaging anything. As typical the wiring and top should be gone over and serviced correctly before doing so. All the drive motors, latches and mechanisms are there . There are a few pieces of chrome trim missing. There are a few pieces of new NOS chrome on the car. (see video and Pics) Gas tank needs to be flushed and cleaned. currently it is hooked up to a separate boat gas tank. The brakes are stiff and do not stop well. There is a new master cylinder on the car. The engine in the car is the bigger 1970 390 Ford v-8 which was a common upgrade that was done many years ago. Please Note. This is an Antique/Historic vehicle. Due to its age it is being sold As-Is where-Is for restoration. It may have signs of wear, tear, fade, haze, rust, age, cracking, swirl, weathering, nicks, chip, dent, deterioration and may require service, repair, parts, replacement and or maintenance of any and all components. The car has been stored inside over the last 4 decades. The car was never left sitting outside rotting under a tree like many of them. It is not torn apart into a million pieces in boxes. I hope this goes to someone that always wanted one of these. Here is one you can afford. I try to price things very reasonable as most things are usually sold via (Buy it Now) within a very short time of being listed. I have perfect feedback on vehicles (read it) so bid with confidence.
