1956 Ford F-100 Additional Info:
Selling my 1956 F100 that's been in my family for sometime now. My brother had it before me, in 2007 this truck had an entire restoration to the tune of almost $75K at that time. I'ts been driven a little over 3000 miles in the last 11 years. For the past 2.5 years it's been sitting in the garage and in that time I have installed a chevy 396 big block and Turbo 400 transmission, they have about 120 miles on them now with paperwork. When the shop reinstalled the hood they didn't get it aligned as it was before they removed it, It closes fine but there's more of a gap on the passenger side now. Body of this truck is Rock Solid and there is zero rust !
In 2007 the paint job was $12k, eventhough this thing looks beautiful there are a couple flaws here and there. When the truck was put on a trailer and taken to the shop the trailer they used was too narrow and they mess up the paint as you can see in the pics on the running boards. Also when they removed the hood at their shop one of the mechanics caused a bump/chip of the paint on the hood in the front and had spilled something on the paint which caused a stain. I'll tell you what, I made them reimburse me big time for what they did. Since putting in the Big block motor had to remove the column shift and install a floor ratchet shifter.
Truck has front disc brakes and rear drums, power windows, power seats, A/C is all there but not charged up. There is a video screen intstalled with an Alpine stereo and twin Alpine amps under the seats which are not hooked up at the moment.
2 months ago I had redone the entire front suspension, all Moog ball joints, inner/outer tie rods, drag link and such. Haven't driven the truck since.
Also wired in powered linear acutuators for the tilt hood, very cool
This 56 is Loud and Proud, engine and trans run beautifully and there is Power !!
I hate to let her go but buying a house takes everything as you know....
