This 1951 Ford F-3pickup is an exceptional survivor truck equipped with the original flathead V/8 motor and 4-speed transmission. It runs and drives great, is very reliable, and recently has had several hundred mile round trips driven to the family farm. The entire body is original, rust-free and in amazing condition. The wooden bed floor is original and still serviceable. It previously had a quality repaint in the factory original Sheridan Blue color many years ago. The current mileage was believed by prior owners to be original. Only 2000 miles have been driven since the mid-1980s. All five tires are like new. The original Ford factory tool set is still with the truck, along with service manuals and Ford brochures. Factory radio is currently inoperative.
The truck has an interesting history of being used for a beverage display in a leased liquor store in Myrtle Beach, SC several decades ago until the owner died. The truck was purchased by the lady owner of the store over 20 years ago and was occasionally shown in area car shows. After she passed away, the truck was in long term storage until I was able to purchase it from the estate, and brought it out of hibernation. Some records of ownership are available from the estate.
To bring this wonderful truck out of hibernation, the truck was completely upgraded for the fuel systems, 6 volt ignition system, cooling system, and brakes so that it now runs and drives reliably. Other upgrades include new electric two-speed wipers, new heater core, seat cover replaced, and a new rubber bed mat. This truck gets lots of attention and is fun to drive!
