1970 Mustang Fastback built as a Boss 302 Tribute. Originally a 351 V8 car equipped with FMX Automatic Transmission. This is a great and reliable driver-quality Mustang at an affordable price point.
The drivetrain is believed to be original to the car as reported by the previous owner. An Aluminum 4V intake and Holley Double-Pumper Carburetor were added to increase performance. It has also been upgraded with an MSD Billet distributor and 6AL Ignition system. Please Note: The car will have a new and properly painted shaker scoop properly installed at time of sale. The motor runs great, and runs out very nice with no issues. The transmission shifts smoothly, it does have a small leak if the car sits for long periods. The car has Power Steering and Front Power Disc Brakes (upgraded to modern calipers).
The paint is older and beginning to show its age in spots and up close, but is presentable as a driver quality car. Areas on the bottom of the doors, sail panel and lower body line show some imperfections. It would be graded as a 6/10. The brightwork, mainly the door handles and hood trim is beginning to show some pitting and could be used or replaced in some areas.
The only sheetmetal repairs appear to be to the driver's side front floor pan and lower right hand quarter. The glass appears mostly original Carlite Ford, the right hand door glass is not rolling down at this time. The Wheels are Magnum 500s and are showing a little pitting with Radial T/A tires in good shape.
The Interior features Black Hi-back Bucket seats and fixed rear seats. The upholstery is in good condition. The headliner has one small rip, but otherwise is in good shape. The radio is a vintage appearing unit with USB connection and 6x9 speakers in the back.
