This '72 is a truly striking car. The Chrome Yellow paint with black accents really sets off this body style. Brand New Magnum 500 Wheels wrapped with some big BF Goodrich Radials fill up the wheel wells and give the car an even more aggressive look. This is a great looking and confident driver. Tons of documentation on maintenance (done at a Ford Dealership) since the restoration was completed about 20k miles ago.
The body on this Mach in in good condition. Theoriginalcowl and floor pans, so often ravaged by rust on these cars, are in good condition. The quarter panels, doors, hood and fenders all appear to be the originals. The paint is quite nice with the normal small scratches & imperfections of a 20k mile garage kept car. The bumpers are in great condition as is the rest of the chrome on the car. The front bumper was converted to chrome from the Mach 1 spec urethane to resemble the BOSS 351. It really brightens up the car and gives it a great look.
Inside, this car has the deluxe interior and it is trimmed out very nice. The seats have fresh upholstery and seat buns that were just professionally installed. The door panels are the padded and formed units per the deluxe interior. This Mach also has the Tach and Gauge package. The fitment is nice throughout, seating is comfortable, gauges work, stereo works, this car is ready for cruising now!
The 351 under the hood was originally a 2V unit that has been upgraded with a mild cam and an Edelbrock Aluminum Performer intake manifold. The engine fire up easily and has just a mild lope. The exhaust has a great note with the Flowmaster mufflers. Detailing under the hood is still quite nice, easily good enough for weekend shows.
Option wise, this Mach has Power Front Disc Brakes and Power Steering. They work excellent with just the right amount of assist to feel what the car is doing while allowing the car to be confident stopping from high speeds and easy to maneuver in tight parking lots.
