1970 Ford Torino GT Additional Info:

This is a real GT not a clone. I have owned this car for over ten years and the man I got it from owned the car for almost 20 years prior. The car was originally equipped with a 351C 2V engine, bench seat, paint code was Candy Apple Red with Red interior. This car is a survivor. It has never been restored and only repainted one time. Under the hood resides a rebuilt 351C 4V Cobra Jet 4 bolt main motor. The engine is completelystock except for a Comp Cams 268H cam and lifters, Edelbrock Performer Aluminum Intake, and Holley Carb. Engine has excellent oil pressure, no issues, no leaks, etc. and runs great. Engine Code is D2AE-CA. ( I have the original steel 4V intake and Valve Covers for the CJ that will go with the car. I also have the correct date coded 351 C 2V engine D0EA that needs to be rebuilt.) Transmission is a very firm shifting C-4. The car has headers, full dual exhaust and a brand new gas tank. There is very little rust on this car. There are a couple of very small spots in the floor pans that need patches as well as the trunk drop offs. All spots needing repair are less than the size of a business card.

The car is very solid throughout. Hood, Doors, and Trunk lid are all alignedcorrectly and open and close as they should. All locks are new and work as intended. The car has newrotors, pads, and calipers, up front. Newrear drums, shoes and wheel cylinders in the rear. All new brake hoses and newrear brake lines, and a new master cylinder. The car stops very well.

The interior needs some attention. Driver’s seat is torn, as well as the top of the rear seat. Carpet is faded, Headliner is gone but all bows are present as well as the trim pieces. The door panels are from a Torino Cobra and are in fair useable condition. At one time this was a 4 speed car as the clutch pedal is still in place, I do not have the z-bar. The dash has been restored and looks original with the exception of the tachometer mounted on the column and the auto meter gauges that where professionally installed in the dash. The original radio does not work but the cigarette lighter still does as well as the high beams, turn signals, and heater controls. The car needs a wiper motor.

If interested I have an extra GT hood, Front Bumper, Trunk lid and GT tail light panel, extra tail light lenses as well. I also have a very good set of headers that came off the car for the 2V motor. The Torino is pictured with two different sets of wheels, your choice is available with the car. The American Racing Aluminum Slots have Very Good Firestone tires. The American Racing Outlaws have dry rotted BF Goodrichtires that hold air but cannot be driven on.

This is a very solid and honest old Ford Muscle Car that will be an easy project for someone and will make the new owner a great car. This car runs, drives, and stops as it should. Would be a VERY EASY father and son project. Most all the hard work is done. Car has been stored inside and out of the weather for the past 11 years but I no longer have room for it. With new upholstery some minor body work and new paint the Torino will be a very nice cruiser that won’t break the bank to finish. The car is priced to sell at a fair number for its condition. Serious offers will be considered. Car is for sale locallyso I reserve the right to end the auction at any time. I will assist with shipping however I can. I encourage you or your agent to come and inspect the car prior to bidding or purchase. Clear title in my name in hand.

I have several videos of the car if you are interested email and I will send you a link. Here is a sample Video:
