1970 Dodge Challenger Additional Info:

1 of 1886 U code auto 1970 Challenger RTs built! Restored 20 years ago and pampered ever since. This is a very highly optioned 2 tag car with B51 power disc brakes, power steering and P31 power windows, H51 AC, SE trim package, A01 light package, A04 Basic group package, A36 perf axle package, J25 3 spd wipers, J45 hood tie down pins, R35 AM/FM radio with 3 speaker dash and H31 rear window defogger.
Paint is still very nice with only a few small flaws. Originally FC7 plum crazy purple with white interior that was changed out with black when restored. (I had a complete black challenger interior that I used). Engine was completely rebuilt at that time with all the best quality parts available. Hughes engines hardened rocker shafts with banana slits for better oiling, roller rockers, custom length pushrods, hardened double roller timing gear set, .030 over forged and balanced pistons on turned forged crank. Edelbrock alum heads. Alum water pump hsg. Approx 9.5:1 pump gas friendly compression. Hughes hyd cam and lifters, hi vol oil pump, windage tray, ceramic coated headers with exhaust cutouts. Not original block but 68-70 version. Vintage aluminum edelbrock six pack intake with stock carbs and 1" spacers and quick fuel metering plates. Absolutely NO hesitation transitioning from center carb to the 2 outboards. Hi capacity alum radiator with stock fan. NEVER GETS HOT! Manual valve body 727 torque flight with 3500 stall converter. 4:10 gears in the original 8-3/4 with factory rear sway bar. Multiple money winner at the now defunct 1/4 mile Houston raceway Park track in Baytown, tx. Not a full time racecar. Very streetable and licensable as is but doesnt like freeways with the 4:10 gear obviously. Would be fine with 3:55s or an overdrive trans. Stock interior and all lights work. Also have original hood painted to match.
