For sale by .
LOW MILEAGE, 2 owner SUV.
- Theseold Ramchargers are beginning to be somewhat rare.
- I believe they represent nearly the last of the "real"4x4 SUV's
- (big, tall, and very w-I-d-e, with solid axles).
- They are especially difficult to find in nice, clean, and original condition.
- Plus, with a documented history!
As you might have guessed I'd say... this one is nice, clean, original, and with a documented history. :-)
I have laboured for many months with the decision to sell. Since last summer, in fact. I've nearly listed it a few times now but, hadn't. Even photographed it two times. But, here we are. And, so here we go. It is officially up for sale.
I'll start out by saying, Ilove these Ramchargers. They are justbig& BEEFY. I looked for a long time to replace one I shouldn't have sold a very long time ago. Dodge trucks of this generation are quickly escalating in value. With Ford bringing back the Bronco, I'd expect vintage SUV's to regain new interest; beyond their current popularity.
Took a long time to find this beauty. I bought it from the original owner! She (yes, that's right... she) was an 87 year oldgranny!!! (It's true -- I have all the documentation).
Here's a few other highlights:
- She lived in a little town, about a45 minute drive from the city.
- ALL the mileage is highway!
- She kept EVERY record since new!
- I have them all.
- They goto the new owner with the vehicle.
- Only 65,608 miles.
- Speedo is in MPH and KMH (kilometres-per-hour) but, the odometer is in kilometers.
- It reads 101,718 kms, which is exactly 65,608 miles.
- This is a 6-digit odometer. The vehicle would have to go to a million to turn over. I've made many wasted trips to see proclaimed low mileage vehicles that were a lie, with turned-over 5-digit odometers.
- THIS IS AN HONEST, GENUINE 65,608 MILES ON THISRAMCHARGER.
- ALL documentation, receipts, and provenance is included. The file contains every single piece of paper related to this vehicle since the original purchase invoice from the dealership. All warranty work, all service, each oil change... Everything. You can track the mileage, year by year, paper by paper, from each service to the next!!!
Now, just to clarify.... I call this a 2-owner truck but, use that term relatively loosely. Truth be told, I haven't driven it even 500 miles. All I did is take it to have everything checked over by a mechanic, have new wheels installed, fix some leaks, have the lower rocker panel area gravel guarded, and then to have it thoroughly detailed and polished. And, well... That's it. It's been parked ever since. I'd planned on maybe using it here and there but, we hadn't.
The biggest reasons I originally bought the truck are:
-Because I enthusiastically love these generation Dodges,
-It's rarity.
-It's originality.
-It'sfully documented history.
-And (as explained to my wife) as a kinetic investment. :-)
We've sold quite a number of our classic cars. 13 on here in total. Please check my feedback. You'll see comments from 13 overjoyed buyers.
Condition:
This is not a restored vehicle. Also, this is not a vehicle of dubious history that has beentampered with. Personally, I prefer unrestored vehicles 100/1. They've beat all odds. Unrestored original vehicles are true classics and valuable collector pieces in my eyes. They call them "survivors". I call them valuable. Also, I call them difficult to find. Their unique blemishes and character flaws are their pedigree. This truck, being26 years old, certainly has it's pedigree. It's not perfect but, it's perfectly nice. As expected, it has a few blemishes but nothing typical. I think it's in pretty great condition considering. There is a little damage to the plastic covering for the rear seat latch in the rear cargo area. And, that's all that's really mentionable. Still, I'll play on the side of caution and describe the unit as a 1/10. Inevitably, people's perspectives vary, and I'll eliminate all confusion. One item I am aware of is that there's a slight clunk when engaging into gear. I've had this diagnosed as being the rear u-joint. I am forthright in mentioning this. As well, thehydraulic shocks that hold up the rear lift gate only work on hot days. They should be replaced. Asides from this, there's very little to mention. I've collected cars for many years and it takes a bit to impress me. I've kept this around for a reason! The only areas not original are the paint from the lower bodyside molding down. I had it painted with a gravelguard pickup boxliner that was perfectly color-matched. This was for longevity. There were running boards when I had purchased it, and I don't like them. I also do not like the appearance of big mudflaps. Gravelguard pickup boxliner looks best. As mentioned, and to be on the safe side, I always tend to rate anything I'm selling as a 1/10 in condition and appearance. Please assume this truck is the same. As a seller, I'm a bit of an odd duck.... Top dollar is never my objective. I'd rather have a happy and enjoyable transaction (once again, please see my feedback). I would encourage anyone to come view in person and invite any 3rd party appraisals. Please review the photos carefully. I am not a professional salesman or photographer but, have tried my best. My feedback is an excellent resource. I have a darned good record of making people happy so far, and have absolutely no intent on tarnishing that reputation. Any questions, please write. I invite all inquiries and look forward to answering promptly.
Good luck fellow enthusiasts, and happy bidding!
