Originally purchased new in 1993, the truck was acquired by the seller’s family in 1997 and has remained under family ownership since. It was used as a commuter in the early 2000’s and then seasonally until 2010 for fishing and camping trips. It was driven occasionally after 2010 before being largely retired from use after 2016. The truck has since received maintenance, cosmetic updates, and new tires and a battery in 2025. It is now offered with a clean title, a clean CARFAX report, a repair manual, original owner’s manuals, a truck cover, and a list of parts replaced in 2021 (shown in photo gallery).
Exterior
Cosmetically: The truck, while not pristine, looks very presentable — straight body, clean interior, and good paint overall. The hood and top of the cab were repainted in Sept, 2025 due to clear coat failure. There are some small rust spots, scratches, and dings as expected for its age, but nothing major. See photo gallery.
Interior
The cabin is trimmed in charcoal cloth with bucket seats up front and folding jump seats in the rear. Amenities include:
•Power windows and locks
•Cruise control
•Power steering and front disc brakes
•Electronic trailer brake controller (untested)
•Aftermarket Overdrive unit
•Aftermarket AM/FM stereo(currently inoperative)
The interior remains clean and well-preserved, showing use consistent with the truck’s age. All controls and gauges function as intended, except for the aftermarket radio and the speedometer, which currently bounces and does not read above approximately 30 mph.
Mechanical
Mechanically: Runs strong and shifts smoothly.
Power is provided by the renowned 5.9-liter Cummins turbodiesel inline-six, paired with a five-speed manual transmission and an aftermarket overdrive unit. The truck features four-wheel drive, front disc brakes, power steering, and ¾-ton suspension.
In 2021, several maintenance items were addressed (parts list included). In 2025, the truck received a new battery and new tires.
It starts easily, runs smoothly, and drives well.
Mechanical issues
Noted issues include:
•Speedometer not working correctly (bounces and sticks around 30 mph
•Air conditioning inoperative –compressor disconnected due to R12 system fault; retrofit to R134A recommended/required in sellers state (WA).
•AM/FM radio not working
•Brakes need bleeding, ABS occasionally pulses when braking
The truck is sold as-is with these issues disclosed. The truck starts and runs wellbut mechanical issues will need to be addressed at some point.
Ownership History
•Delivered new in 1993
•Acquired by the seller’s family in 1997 (second owners)
•Carfax lists three owners due to inheritance transfer within the family
