1993 Dodge Ram 2500 Additional Info:
Up for sale is a well cared for, original, rust-free 1993 Dodge Ram W250 4x4 LE 5.9 IC Cummins Turbo Diesel 5-Speed. This truck lived most of its life in California, with a short stop in Colorado, before I bought it. It was never driven in the snow while in my possession, and has most likely never seen salt.
This is a 4x4 five speed manual with the intercooled 12 valve Cummins diesel engine. The only modifications are a 4" turbo-back exhaust and a Borgeson HD steering shaft. All four tires match and are in very good condition with plenty of tread. The body is rust free with no signs of previous body work.
Mechanical: The truck starts immediately with no hesitation. It has 154k original miles and the engine is untouched. The fuel pump has not been tweaked or tampered with to my knowledge. The transmission is a Getrag 360 connected to an heavy duty 2-speed NP205 transfer case. The front axle is a Dana 60 with manual locking hubs; rear axle is a Dana 70. The truck has plenty of power and shifts through all of the gears smoothly. 4WD low and high both work like properly.
Exterior/Body: This truck has a straight body with no signs of repair in its history. The cab was resprayed by the original owner, but it wasn't done to the highest standards (this was a work truck after all). The paint on the bed appears original and is fading in places (see pictures). The truck had a spray-in bed liner, but most of it has worn away with use over time. There are various scratches, dents, door dings, etc. as would be expected on a work truck that is 23 years old. The biggest dent is on the driver's front fender from me bumping a fence post while trying to back a trailer into a tight space, as seen in the pictures. The frame has some surface rust as expected on any older vehicle that hasn't lived in the desert. Nothing major or cause for concern.
Interior: The interior is in very good condition. It has been well taken care of over the years and looks nearly new. No rips or tears in the seat. There is no sag in the headliner, the carpet is clean except for a few spots near the pedals, and all trim pieces are in place. Hot heat, but the A/C does not work. All of the gauges work, as do the all of the interior and exterior lights. The passenger side power lock sometimes sticks and doesn't move the pin all the way up. The driver side power lock works perfectly. Power windows both work properly. Wiring for a Tekonsha Prodigy trailer brake controller (not included) is under the dash.
My wife and I both love this truck and hate to see it go, but we just had a son and there is no way to fit a car seat. If you have any questions feel free to ask. Buyer is responsible for shipping.
Thanks and happy bidding!
