1971 Dodge Challenger R/T Additional Info:
This is a real-deal 1971 Dodge Challenger R/T was restored to look bright and bold in its factory-correct High Impact color. And while this looks awesome from every angle (including the fresh undercarriage,) you're going to love the performance behind all this style. That's because there's a dual-quad 440 V8, four-on-the-floor, and four-wheel disc brakes that let you enjoy this muscle Mopar to the fullest.
FJ6 - just a small code, but it makes Mopar people quite happy. Having it on the fender tag of this Challenger means that it's wearing its correct Green Go paint. But more than just a bold representation of a sought-after color, you can tell there were all the right investments when this coupe was restored. That's why the panel gaps are uniform and the doors close with authority. Plus, this one has a well-coordinated dark side with the full R/T stripe package that draws attention to the dual scoops in the hood and sporty kick-up in the rear fender. The dark intimidation continues on everything from the wide grille up front, to the extra-wide Go-Wing rear spoiler. But power is also balanced with style thanks to the form-fitting chrome bumpers, quad exhaust tips integrated into the rear valance, and 15-inch American Racing alloys that look like Mopar's classic road wheel package. In total, it's a bold coupe where they paid attention to the details.
The black accents outside are also a nice preview of the interior color. The high-back bucket seats have an intricate pattern that's in superior condition thanks to an investment during restoration. The door panels, carpeting, and dash also look good from proper attention. You'll appreciate the nice touches of wood-like finishes all around the interior, including on the doors, dash, center console, and three-spoke sports steering wheel. Of course, your favorite wood finish is on the iconic Hurst pistol grip shifter. Because that's your gateway to what's under the hood.
The engine bay is in show-ready condition, and that's because you're going to want to show it off everywhere. The callouts on the hood scoop were not lying, this is powered by the almighty 440 cubic-inch V8... And it's even better than you think because it's topped with dual Competition 500 series four-barrel carburetors! The full package also includes an Offenhauser intake, serpentine belts, and ceramic-coated long tube headers that feed the rumbling X-pipe dual exhaust. A four-speed manual transmission means you are in complete control of this awesome power and its thunderous soundtrack. And proper control over all this power means power steering, meaty Cooper Cobra tires, and the upgrade to four-wheel power disc brakes.
This is an awesome restoration that that takes an awesome High Impact R/T and makes it an even wickeder street machine. So if you love a big muscle Mopar, you know you need to call today
