This is an excellent example of a full rotisserie restoration. This car started out as a rust free factory 440, 4 speed Coronet convertible with A/C, P/S and P/B. During the restoration the owner wanted something different so a For Hemis Only, 528 cubic inch Hemi was installed with 2 Edelbrock 4 barrel carburetors. To back the high Hp and Torque of the engine is a Tremec TKO 5 speed, Center Force clutch and with a pistol grip shifter. This Super Bee has 1 7/8” stainless long tube headers with mandrel bent 3” exhaust. This set up surprisingly gives a very mellow exhaust note. A complete March serpentine belt system was installed with their Alternator, Power Steering Pump and A/C Compressor. The car runs, drives and preforms great with no issues.
This car has a lot of factory options from the factory that the owner kept on the car during the build including the power roof assembly. The only thing not working to my knowledge is the air conditioning which has never been charged to my knowledge.
Lots of effort and research was put into this vehicle to make it correct. The correct hood was shipped up from the states and so was the Dana 60 rear axle. You can tell how much work and effort has been put into this vehicle by looking at the pictures. All of the factory seems are present at the doors, running boards and hood. Finding a vehicle in this condition is next to impossible in this day and age. There are no dents and dings throughout and the body is in excellent condition for its age. The fit and finish of the body panels are correct. Doors open and close correctly and utilize the factory latches. All of the body panels are original to the car except the hood.
Every nut and bolt was new when the car was built 3 years ago and it now has 2500 trouble free miles on it. This Coronet Super Bee Convertible is in outstanding condition but unfortunately the owner would like to pass it on to someone else who will enjoy it.
To my knowledge and research four Concept 1970 Super Bee Hemi Convertibles were produced but none of them ever survived production.
Please call me personally with questions regarding this car. I will help on my end with shipping.
