1947 DeSoto 2 door sedan Additional Info:
i have a 1947 desoto custom 2 door sedan for sale. car is very rare 2 door sedan being they only made about 3000 2 doors in this body style. car is mainly original with the exception of being repainted about 15 years ago and the seats being recovered. has the original flathead 6 with fluiddrive trans. runs and drives great and has 23000 original miles. engine leaks a lil oil but not bad at all n has a small exhaust leak. car sat in a barn from 1964 till 2001 when previous owner repainted it and got it back on the road. car has some rust on inner rocker panels and a couple pin holes under trunk lid but other then that the body is solid. paint is decent, has 3 spots where previous owner had bullet hole stickers on n peeled the paint. the passenger fender was hit slightly but mainly all straitend back out, see close up pic of rear pass fender, can barely notice it except the stainless trim is dented up. the chrome has pitting to it, and the previous owner painted the front chrome fender pieces. i have a set of other ones that have decent chrome with some pitting like the rest the chrome. both rear side windows have cracks in them but any glass shop could make new ones cheap. the front glass is good with some seperating at the edges. in spring this year i put on all new brake shoes, wheel cylinders, rubber lines, master cylinder, and steel lines on the back half of the car. also has new rear axle seals, plugs, wires, points, condenser, cap, rotor, coil, 6v battery, and a carb rebuild. all the gauges work and has 40ibs oil pressure and dont overheat. front seat has 2 tears in it as seen in pics and the rear is good, seats were recovered and orig upholstery is underneath it. door panels are like new. am radio dont work, never really checked it out since its am anyway. ive tryed to be as honest as possible wth the car and overall is a great rare car. its a great driver and have put about 3000 miles on it in the past 2 years. people love it at shows and its guaranteed to be the only one there, i just gata make room in the garage as i just bought another car. i have pictures from previous owner when the car came out of the barn and when he painted it. feel free to ask any questions. buyer responsible for setting up shipping and payin for it. cars for sale locally so may end auction if bought. thank you.
