1964 Chevrolet Corvair Additional Info:
1964 Corvair Spyder Monza Convertible. Nice condition, not a daily driver, more of a weekend cruizer. Off White with Red boat canvas convertible top. Turbo Engine runs well, leaks a little as most Corvairs do. Recent interior upgrades, rear seat is still original and needs to be done to match the front. Most notable feature is the real Kelsey Hays "knock off" wire wheels. These are fairly rare, and it great shape for their age. Spin true, no broken of bent spokes.
I've had the car about 6 years. All the parts I have put on it over the years all came from Clarks. Either OEM, NOS, or quality repo's. No Junk. The Wheelers did the heads about 5 years ago. New exhaust about 2 years ago.
Only downside, is some rust starting to bubble through in a few stops. If fixed now, it shouldnt be too bad.
All glass and chrome is good, as is the rear window.
I must state I dont know the whole history of the car. It appears to be a Spyder Monza, but sometimes over the years a cars true identity gets lost though owners adding stuff here and there that the car never left the factory with. If you are interested in this car as a historical document, I strongly suggest you run all the engine, tranny, and VIN numbers for confirmation. I have never bothered, I bought the car to just drive and have fun with....
If you have any questions, or need more photos... just ask!
The car is also advertised locally, and the auction may end if sold.
Thanks for looking!!!!
