Vehicle Details
1964 corvair monza spyder convertible. I bought this car two years ago sight unseen with hoping to make a daily driver but once I received it I realized it’s a project car. The car will run and move under it’s own power the transmission works and has good brakes, but the engine has a miss to it and in looking at the ignition system when pulling the plugs I found 3 of 6 cylinders with heli-coils in them and they are lose and not secure. Maybe part of the miss? I have acquired a set of good turbo heads from a gentlemen on the east coast who is an avid corvair guy. I have also got a complete new top kit with rear window pads for it. The body in this car is amazingly straight and rust free the only issues on the entire car are the front floor pans which aren’t to bad could be patched or new pans are available for about $70 each. Seat frames are good material is not maybe driver quality while fixing up. This is a rare turbo convertible early style which I think look much cooler then the late style with the Camaro look. Car has a clean IL title in my name. I have acquired some missing parts for it and replacement parts all come with it. I just don’t know when I’ll get to it.
