This is a project that will require transportation to be moved from my house to yours. I think it is an excellent candidate for a nostalgic gasser or a Kustom. I’ve added a couple of pics of other similar cars in that genre.
Vehicle Details
This car is a relatively rust free example of a 55 Chevy. It was a desert car most of its life and so no major rust anywhaere. You can see in the pics the very little that I have found on it. The drivers floor pan has a new panel sitting in position but not yet welded in. The car is also very straight with, as far as I can tell, all original sheet metal. This truly a very solid car for a new time on the road. The paint was done (I’m told) in 78, but it looks more like 80’s to me. At any rate I think it would be cool to leave the paint in its patina and just put together a bad ass gassser or street machine, which was my plan.. but plans have to change sometimes as it is with me.
Every piece of glass except the windshield is broken. There is no upper tailgate. It has a set of 15x8 rally wheels on it (one is 15x7) with nearly new tires that I put on it when I got it home. I had bought them a couple of years ago for my el Camino.
I can provide more pictures if you tell what you are wanting to see. It’s very hard to get good shots of the underside it I can try. I just don’t do well getting up and down on the ground these days.
Message me if you are interested in buying the engine and tranny.
