I’ll explain this to the best of my knowledge, this is a 1962 409/409 HP 11-1 compression solid cam & lifters factory Chevy Super-sport Impala with a factory 4-speed and original dual 4-barrelcarburetors with factory ID tags. This car was sold to DaleArmstrong May 15, 1989, by a gentleman in Des Moines Iowa and then was driven back to L.A. by Dale Armstrong. Dale wrote a hand written letter to the previous owner saying everything went well on the drive, see pictures of letter. I was told Dale owned the car for about 5-years but the car was never registered to Dale or the gentleman I bought it from for reasons unknown. The title remains in the name of the gentleman who sold it to Dale Armstrong in 1989.I have the Iowa title and I have one of the original Iowalicense plates that says 409 HP, I have a hand written bill of sale to Dale Armstrong, I have a copy of one of the original titles from Reeds Phil Classic Chevrolet Motor Co. and I have the original Texas title from 9/17/1985, and misc. registrations pertaining to the car. I also have photos of the car from the previous owner and one includes Dale standing in front of the car. I was told the car has one repaint of the original color, probably prior to 1989, and I believe the interior was redone at the same time back to stock. The car has been serviced by a local hotrod mechanic and is in very good running condition at this time. Please feel free to call me with any questions and you are also welcome to see it in person (760) 720-1456.I've posted several videos on You Tube, they are under the title "1962 Chevy Carlsbad". The stamp # on the block is S301428T0629QB looking at the car would be front left, the casting # on the back right is GM6 3788068.According to Dale Armstrong "you just don't find them this original anymore" (conversation between Dale & seller about 30-years ago).FYI: the last picture shows the Duplicate Original Certificate of Title To A Motor Vehicle, dated July 31, 1962, State of Texas, Body Style IMPALA 8 SPT. CPE. Sold at Classcock Chevrolet Co., Big Lake, Texas, 6-18-62, amount $3,650.04, VIN #21847S301428. If you have more concerns let me know. Thanks for your interest (760) 720-1456.
