1986 Chevrolet Other Pickups UTILITY Additional Info:

1986 Chevy 4x4 utility truck, 12,715 original miles, aluminum rear utility box, PTO off transmission. 6.2 diesel. Chain drive transfer case, TH 400 automatic tranny, Dana 60 axel with Tac-Loc limited slip in rear. Gear ratio 4.56:1 This truck has a max speed of 55 mph. 24 volts under hood and starter, dual 100 amp alternators. The rest of the truck is 12 volt.
Good... New batteries, Boss radio with speakers in doors, no rust holes (southern truck) does have light surface rust where paint in worn out. Truck has not been plowed with or used in the winter.
Bad... Gauges work but gas gauge moves around sometimes (probably a bad ground wire). Pulls slightly to the right when braking. Replaced rear tires with newer tires but they are slightly different size than the front, so 4 wheel drive cannot be used until front tires are replaced. Front tires do need to be replaced due to age, not wear.
