Hey Monte Carlo fans. Here is an 1984 SS project carthat needs a good home.
I boughtit for parts for another project but ended up finding everything I needed as NOS, ew aftermarket or used from other sources. Missing the visors, oor pull straps, adio, love box, love box doorand console top. The transmission (TH350) is broken. The engine runs. The battery is fairly recent. Needs complete restoration. Originally dark blue. Needs work in the trunk and floors. Rusted out in the frame rails behind the rear tires. The right frontsway barmount is broken at the frame. The bucket seats are from another car. It has the original back seat. It has a Buick steering column. The rims are from an 86 Buick Regal. This car needs a lot of work.
I replaced the antifreeze before cold weather this winter and had the car running long enough to get it good and warmed up.The engine sounded good. The heater controls worked good. It needs the heater fan motor replaced. I had it running on March 1 and it sounded good.
Could be restored orbuilt as a resto-mod, rag race car or a stock car.
The car is for sale locally and I reserve the right to end the auctionearly.
E mail me with any questions.
Low reserve. PayPal only.
Thanks for looking.
On Mar-07-16 at 16:53:39 PST, eller added the following information:I want to be sure and accuratelyrepresent this car. I do not know the mileage on this car. The odometer shows 11,832 and I am sure it is at least 111,832. I do not have any documentation to authenticate this. I bought the car from a used car dealer in Mattoon, llinois. The title showed that that the previous owner had the car for 11 years and that owner had a Mt. Vernon, llinois address. When I cold start the engine I pour some gas in the carb and it fires right up. I suppose the gas in the tank is old and stale. It starts good when it is warmed up. There is no belt on the a/c compressor. The secondary air pump is missing the pulley and belt. It is missing the hose from the valve cover to the air breather. The engine dipstick is missing and the transmission dipstick is missing. There has been some local interest in the car but since it has met the reserve I intend to let the auction go to completion. Thanks again for looking at this 1984 Monte Carlo SS.
