1984 Chevrolet Monte Carlo Additional Info:
Up for auction is a 1984 Chevrolet Monte Carlo.
This vehicle DOES NOT RUN.
This was a street legal bracket race car I drove a few years ago, ran 8.50's 1/8th mile or so, it has been sitting for a couple years. It does not run, I have not tried to start or mess with it in a while. The block may be cracked or freeze plugs out.
It is a standard 350 chevy block, with some aftermarket parts including:
Dart Aluminum Pro 1 heads, with Competition Cams rocker arms.
Holley Double pumper carburetor.
Edelbrock aluminum intake
Approximate .500 lift and duration camshaft (brand unknown)
There may be some other small aftermarket parts I am forgetting.
Also has Hurst quarter stick shifter
Transmission has a shift kit and approximate 3000 stall converter
Headers and exhaust (May be Flowmaster)
Rear end has 3.73 gears
Also Eaton posi.
Has 90's model Camaro rims, rear tires are Mickey Thompson streets, but right rear does not hold air for extended time.
As I stated the block may be bad, but the other parts should be ok, but no guarantees.
The exterior is not race car pretty. Some rust, but most is surface rust as seen in the pics. Frame looks pretty good.
Interior is in fairly good condition for the age of the car. Ceiling droops down like most similar year GM's
This car could be a fun, cheap bracket racer with a little work, as stated NOT sure what parts are good, I just have not had it running in a few years after I stopped racing while in college, but could also get a deal on some aftermarket parts.
No reserve, wife wants to see it gone.
