Rare 1940 Buick Special Model 40 Convertible Survivor with dual fender spares

1940 Buick 40 Additional Info:

The black paint shows wear but still shines as is evident in the pictures. Showing 2371 miles, it is believed the odometer has surpassed it limits but true mileage is unknown. The straight eight runs smoothly and starts consistently. Throttle control and emergency brake work well. Power is sent to the rear wheels via column mounted 3-speed transmission that works effortlessly.

The leather interior shows well but has a small cut in the passenger back support. The top goes down with effort since it is a manual process. Brining it back into place work just as well.

The engine oil and filter have been replaced. The transmission lubricant has been replaced as well as the rear differential. All grease fittings were cleaned and new lube injected.

Radiator hoses and the single belt have been replaced. Appropriate battery sourced and a kill switch added.

The horn, radio, and clock do not work. All other gauges and lights work as to be expected.

The trunk lock works and requires that you lock the trunk prior to removing the key.

There is a bit of corrosion on the passenger rear floor behind the door. Easily repaired by a welder.

Car is registered and driven on very nice days during summer, stored in dry warm storage in winter.

Massachusetts title is clear and in my name.
