1940 Buick Other 4-door convertible Additional Info:
This is a gorgeous example of an elegant touring car and is an extremely rare Model 41C. Only 124 units were made with the twin side mounts and only about 30 are still in existence, if that. The Phaeton model was no longer made after 1941.
This vehicle is in very good condition and shows beautifully. The combination of a maroon finish (PPG base coat/clear coat) with the black leather interior and black carpeting is stunning. The top is Hartzcloth and was replaced two years ago. Please note that the top is manual and not electric.
The accelerator pedal starter makes it easy to start. It brakes, steers and drives very well with no smoke and does not use up oil at all.
The radio and clock work as do lights for the back passenger area.
The tires in the side mounts are white wall also.
Extras include an extra tire in the trunk and rare original literature, tags, booklets and large dealer book in full color showing this model and the 1940 Buick lineup.
It is a past Antique Classic Car Association award winner and draws a lot of attention in parades and at car shows. I will soon be moving where I have no storage space for the last two beauties of my collection.
Please read the above carefully and call or email me with any questions before you bid. (Bruce 208.610.4501)
