1986 Buick Grand National Additional Info:
I'M NOT A CAR DEALER. MY NAME MAY MAKE YOU THINK THAT.
I JUST ADDED A YOUTUBE VIDEO.A short one here on ebay also.HERE IS THE YOUTUBE LINK. https://youtu.be/FuBOIAgfKk4
IF THERE IS CONCERN ABOUT RUST. IT'S NOT A RUST BUCKET AT ALL.IT WAS ZIEBART RUSTPROOFED AT THE DEALERSHIP WHEN NEW.THERE WAS A LITTLE AT THE BOTTOM OF THE REAR FENDERS. THE DOORS HAD/HAVE VERY LITTLE. SEE THE VIDEO.THERE IS A LITTLE ON THE INSIDE OF THE TRUNK LID.THE FRONT FENDERS HAVE NO RUST.THE FLOORS HAVE NO RUST.THERE ARE NO RANDOM RUST BLISTERS ON THE BODY SIDES.
I see that the vehicle history report by Auto Check shows a title issue. If you read into it it says it's because the odometer has rolled over after 99999.The history report for this car should actually have the highest numbers, no accidents, only two owners. Thanks
1986 Buick Regal Grand National with intercooled turbo.
The quickest US production car made in 1986.
Quicker than the Corvette, Camaro, Mustang, and everything else!
1986 is the rarest intercooled GN made. Only 5,512. were made.
I have owned it for 30 years. I have taken great care of my GN over all the years.I put 30,000 miles on it, mostly in the early years of ownership. Recent years have been about 500 miles each year.
I purchased from the original owner in 1993. A 54 year old doctor.I'm a 66 year old accountant. I have ALL the receipts, repairs, inspection stickers, registrations, owners manual and more.
Come take it for a ride. You will not be disappointed.
No accidents.
Looks and runs real nice.
Original paint except the hood and rear deck lid, the bumpers and the fillers. (I have new hood emblems, I didn't put them back on yet.)
Also a little touch up was done down low.
It's got a very little bit of rust on the door bottoms on the inside. It still looks good on the outside. The roof might need to be painted or just keep it original sun faded.
It was rust proofed when new by Ziebart Rustproofing. That's why it has just a little rust. It's been garaged most of it's life.
The interior is very nice.
The seats and the rest of the interior is in very good condition. The drivers seat has just got the tiniest split(barely visible in the pictures)
No modifications to the dash.
No cracks in the dashboard. The steering wheel leather is nice, no cracking. The power windows, locks, and antenna work fine.I put in the factory looking VDO gauges in the console. No drilling or glue.It does have an expensive stereo system put in by the original owner. It has a sunroof that does not open anymore. The A/C does not work. I haven't used it in years. The electronic tach and boost gauge do not work correctly.I have a VDO volt gauge is just hanging on the e brake release handle. There is no where to put it without glue or cutting. The door sills both have a corrosion hole in the front screw holes. I never got around to replacing them.
It runs nice and shifts strong. Idles nice. It's all stock no modifications, except the brake system has been changed over.I have the original Power Master brake unit that can be rebuilt and put back.It has a very nice mandrel bent dual exhaust system. It looks just like the original, but a much much better system.Posi rear end. Not all GN's have posi.
The Goodyear tires are old but have less than 10,000 miles on them.
I replaced the tires with the same tire and size as the original. Goodyears.
I have replaced so many parts over the years.I have a stack of receipts. These are just some in the last few years:Water pump, belt tensioner, hoses, complete rear brakes, plug wires, battery, alternator, starter, belt, power antenna, radiator, and more.
I replaced the windshield. It was pitted.I replaced the windows sweeps just last year.I replaced the door hinge bushings, no sagging doors, so the doors shut just like new.
I have a bunch of extra parts and the original removed parts.Included are dark headlight covers and the dark front marker light covers and license plate cover.(see picture)
A "New" cover, a Grand National car cover is included. Not the one in the picture. That's the old one.
The original window sticker.I have an extra radioI have 4 extra wheels. 1 is bent. I purchased the set of 4, one for the spare and the others because they were there.
The original radiator.
The original powermaster brake booster.A new in the box wiper motor and washer pump.I think the original alternator is still good. I replaced it when I shouldn't have. The original mass air flow sensor is still good also. I replaced it when I shouldn't have.I have a bunch of Buick marketing materials.
GN facts book. Signed by the author.
Magazines with GN's on the cover.
and much more.
You get it all.
I think $30,000 is a low price for this nice, rare, car that's going UP in value every year.
Thanks for checking it out!Bob
