1978 Buick Regal Additional Info:

You would be hard pressed to find a better example of this model.Look, I realize that my asking price is ambitious, but this is in rare condition and is the first year for the second gen Regal, which became the Grand National. This is the Grandpa National! If you have been hunting for this model and year of Regal Sport Coupe, you have likely seen some real duds out there. This is on another level. It was found sitting in a garage since 2004.It runs like a dream, and is quite a thrill when the 4 barrels and Turbo kick in. The engine is perfect. The transmission shifts like it should.Rust-proofed from new, (even the trunk), is why this car has no rust, and no bondo, and super solid battery tray. The doors do not hang. The color code is 63, Dark Gold.I did what any car that has been sitting for 20 years would need, including:I rebuilt Quadrajet 800 carburetor.New Fuel Pump, sending unit, tires, battery, fuel hoses. The tank came out easilly and looks perfect inside.Including the tires, I have $2000 in parts, includinga replacement rear bumper filler AND the paint-code correct paint, which has been mixed. That will be installed in a few days! That alone cost $500 bucks. The incredible wheels are a VERY rare one year only factory option. The owner thought ahead and purchased a 5th wheel as a spare, which is in the trunk, never used. Also, I am told that the T-tops were rare for 1978.The seats are like new. The vinyl is soft and pliable, and the foam is still firm.T-Top bags, as well as the original jack are in the trunk.Needs the headliner re-covered, but being T-Tops, it is an easy job.The driver's door handle has been replaced, but look closely at the damage there. I will post a better picture. I have no idea how that would have happened but those handles were terrible. Also, on the top edge of the left fender is bubbling slightly, likely from mouse "stuff" and dust. This car is A/C equipped. Although I have not recharged it, the compressor moves as it should.Has tilt-wheel, as well as cruise control, (which needs a minor fix). The compliments are non-stop.I will add more details when I think of any.I have videos of the car running! Just ask. This car is very special.Thank you. Please note: although I am technically the second owner, I bought it from the original owner mid-12/2023, (500 miles ago).
