This is my 1964 Buick Riviera. It has 1500 miles on engine since rebuild. Original 60K miles! Numbers matching 425 cu in. 7.0L Nailhead V8 engine and numbers matching three-speed Super Turbine 400 (ST-400) transmission. This Buick's tranny is very similar (not exact) to the GM Turbo Hydra-Matic (TH-400)transmission, but the ST-400 has a variable pitch torque converter, like the old twin turbine Dynaflow had from before. She shifts between the 3 speeds, effortlessly!
The car isall original, and well maintained. New gas tank, solid floors, solid frame, trunk, rockers and sheet metal. New coils in the front, very highly optioned. Power windows, power seats, remote trunk activation, remote mirrors, tilt steering wheel, Autronic Eye - Headlight Dimmer. New carpet. New upholstery. It has a smooth glossy finish to its exterior paint. Shiny chrome all around. Interior is immaculate. This car very luxurious and powerful, with 340hp and 465 lbs. of torque. Vehicle equipped with original A/C, but needs servicing. The fat Riv has power steering, power brakes, console, power trunk, power antenna, factoryAM/FM, Speed minder, factory bucket leather seats, and aggressive looking factory Buick Rally Road Wheels, with the 1/2" white wall tires.
With the sale, I alsothrow ina complete set of 4x Buick FactoryWireHubcaps withall original Emblem caps, that havejust come backfrom being polished and finished (still in the box). I will include this with the sale. In addition, there's an original Wildcat air cleaner housing that I will include with the sale as well. It was removed to place the shiner chrome air cleaner housing shown in the photos. But the Wildcat air cleaner housing needs repainting. I thinkI even have theWildcat air cleaner emblem stickerin the garage somewhere. If I find that, I will provide with the car as well. As far as faults, the driver's seat has one of the seatleather buttons that has started to fade.
I love this car and its impeccablesmoothdriving and handling. My wife has bought a new car that she needs to put in the garage. And I haven't anymore room in the garage. I don't want to put the Riv out on the driveway, and would rather sell her in the excellent condition that she's in now. The car is in Manassas VA, at my home, and anyone is more than welcome to come by and test drive this truly magnificent car. Frank Sinatra used to own oneof these fat Riv's, and when you drive one, you understand why.
