1971 Alfa Romeo Spider Additional Info:

The Only year Spider with the Cam Tail and Free Revving 1750 Engine. In 1971 Only 1211 Cam Tail 1750 Spiders (with Spica Mechanical Fuel Injection) were imported into the U.S. Of those only a handful could still exist in this condition. Southern California Car. This car received an extensive Rotisserie restoration in 1995. I count over $28,000 in receipts. The Alfa has been driven about 6000 miles since this restoration. At that time it received a Full Engine Rebuild, Transmission Rebuild, Spica Mechanical Fuel Pump Rebuild, New Fuel Tank - and every part of the car was examined, refinished and replaced if necessary. This car starts instantly no matter how long it sits. Engine doesn't smoke, and pulls cleanly to redline. Transmission shifts smoothly with no 2nd gear syncro issues, There is absolutely NO RUST, no Body Damage, and the Gaps are perfect and straight. The underside looks as good as the top side of the car. Brand new tires mounted on Momo Vega style wheels. The Cloth Top is in Excellent Shape. The rear window is not cracked, hazy or yellowed. The Cloth is in excellent shape. I have just installed new Clutch Master and Slave Cylinders. The paint still shines nicely, but is showing it's 21 year age. There are a couple of small cracks and some crazing in places. I have included a photo of the worst crack over the gas door opening. There is no body damage underneath, just age related. Buyer is responsible for shipping. I am happy to help with logistics and loading. $500 PayPal deposit within 24 Hours, balance by Bank Check, Cash or Wire Transfer. This is a 45 year old car. No Warranty is expressed or implied. Pre-purchase inspection is welcomed and encouraged.

The '71 Spider would have been delivered with a BIack Steering Wheel. Most of them have cracked and were replaced with the '72-on Wood Wheel. I have an original Black Steering Wheel Un-Cracked & excellent shape. Very difficult to find. It will go with the car.
