Surely One of the Most Honest, Original & Complete Veloce Spiders Available in Market!
In 1970 the first significant change to the exterior styling was introduced on the 1750 Spider Veloce, with the original's distinctive elongated round tail changed to a more conventional cut-off tail, called the "Kamm tail", as well as improving the luggage space. Numerous other small changes took place both inside and out, such as a slightly different grille, new door handles, a more raked windscreen, top-hinged pedals and improved interior trim.
Here is an extraordinary example of a lifelong California Spider in outstanding original configuration. This early Series II was completed in July 1970 for the U.S./California market in Rosso (514) over Black leatherette upholstery and sold new to a CA owner in May 15, 1971. It was then registered to a Mr. Bagalini of San Diego in 1977 and remained under his loving ownership until early 2016. Equipment includes Clarion AM/FM radio, soft top, boot cover and full-cab tonneau cover. We have yet to come across such a well preserved and original Alfa Romeo Spider. While it received a single exterior repaint years ago, the Alfa retains ALL original floor pans in beautiful condition, spot welds, glass, trim, upholstery and components. This includes ALL factory decals, stickers and plaques. Carello headlight covers and Ansa muffler offer a period sporty look, along with original early 1980s California "Sun" plate in the rear, while a never installed matching front plate and bracket accompany. The interior is as impressive as the exterior showing minimal wear and a beautiful dash, doors, and seats. A June 2016 service, along with correct factory equipped new Pirelli Cinturato 165HR14 tires only enhances the cars presentation and drivability. As the ideal preservation class competitor or Concourso Italiano participate, it comes fully complete with original jack, crank, spare, Owner's Manual, Instruction and Maintenance Manual, Shop Manuals and period parts catalogs. We believe this example is surely the most honest, original and complete Veloce Spiders available in today's market. It would make for the perfect daily driver, and excellent touring/rally car or a fun casual show car. For Worldwide purchase and delivery, we encourage a closer look.
