1985 Alfa Romeo Spider Veloce Pininfarina Convertible
Fuel Injected - 2.0 - A/C – 4cyl - 5spd
43,000 original miles
Really nice little car for somebody. Solid, all original and 43,000 original low miles. Dark green exterior with black interior. Nicely equipped with fuel injection, air conditioning, power windows, power mirrors and more. Everything is original including the paint. This car was stored for many years and it actually has a recent/current (2020 and 2021) registration too. It was used over this summer quite a bit I was told. Never altered and all original. We took ownership of the car as a partial payment (money and car) for a lake cottage we sold to the original owner. I do not know much about Alfa Romeo cars but I can tell by the original/good condition of this one, that somebody would love to get their hands on this car, especially Alfa Romeo fans. Somebody will be proud to own this car.
This car does run and drive but it didn’t want to start for me recently when I went to move it out of my way the other day. I made the battery weak while trying to start it so I just left it alone. It looks like the previous owner was in the middle of performing a tune up too because some of the new parts included are tune up parts.
The car will need some work and tinkering to be perfect so please don’t expect it to be mint or perfect. It is clean, solid, original and all there but over the years and during storage it shows some cosmetic imperfections too. There are some dings, chips, scuffs, simple aging in spots and the rear plastic window suffered a rip due to an overhead snow ski falling from the storage above. The rip was taped up for now. The rear trunk lid does not lock down into the closed position for some reason and the rear rubber wing (spoiler) is not fastened down tightly as it should be. It is attached at the ends but it is loose in the middle area at trunk lid. The clips or fasteners in the middle must have loosened over the years. The passenger mirror has a crack in the plastic housing fixture but not too bad. The driver window goes down slow and/or sometimes it does not. You can hear it trying but does not sometimes like its being held up or stuck. The car has the power trunk shut tabs which could be the culprit for not locking down the trunk lid properly. I hear those are issues with other cars equipped that way too.
The convertible top and fabric are in great/excellent condition with no fade, no rips or wear at all. Unfortunately, as stated above, the plastic window suffered a tear down the middle of it. The top fabric itself is excellent still and was untouched from the ski falling. The convertible boot is included too and it’s in excellent condition.
The tires are good and hold air nicely as they should. The wheels are excellent with no issues. There is a full size matching aluminum wheel & tire in the trunk too. This wheel is excellent like the others. The chrome, stainless and glass are excellent. The only chrome corrosion that I see is on the headlight frames. The interior is in good shape and all there as it should be. The seats have splits at the stitching in spots but still look good considering. The original owner put black tape over the splits. The dash, door panels, carpet, gauges and trim are all excellent. The undercarriage, floors, trunk and suspension are all solid, clean and good.
I was told that the car was never driven in the winter and never driven in foul weather. The paint still has a nice deep factory shine with no fade. I found a small paint bubble on the one lower front passenger fender behind the tire and some rust on the rear valence under the rear bumper. Other than that, the car is extremely solid top to bottom.
It ran good, shifted good and stopped good when it was dropped off just a couple months ago. I have no idea if the air conditioning is still cold or not. The oil is fresh and was changed recently before we got the car. There are some extra parts and new parts, including new emblems still in the bubble wrap.
Clean and clear title ready for the new owner. Clean and clear history.

I have more pictures besides just these that I can send and I can take requested specific pictures for you too.
You may look at the car in person if you wish.
Also, I will walk the car by phone live with you if that helps describe the car better in detail.

-I am open to offers and I might list the car in other advertising outlets as well. For now, this is the only place it is advertised for sale-
The car should be trailered. It should be gone through mechanically before driving it daily. The battery appears to be fairly new and I will charge it up good this week too.
I will gladly assist with transporters if needed and I will allow the car to stay here until transporters are able to get it.
If you plan to trailer the car yourself, I will be here to help load the car too if needed.
Serious people only please and thanks for looking.
