1993 Alfa Romeo Spider Veloce Additional Info:
1993 Alfa Romeo Spider Veloce
This car runs and drives well with many improvements ($12,000 with 86,000 miles in 2006) but since that time has not been driven much and I want to be sure to explain that it has a few things it will need. Nothing that means it cant be driven and enjoyed but things you would not know just from the pictures. The previous owner told me the engine was rebuilt but the receipts I have do not state that it was so I do not have proof. I do have a reciept for $12,000 worth of work that was done that I can email you from a very reputable shop. I also have a receipt for the $3000 custom stereo that was installed that still sounds pretty amazing.
Things to know
- The drivers door needs to be realigned or adjusted I think because as you go to close it it will take a few tries for it to secure. All the gaps are fine once it does close; might be an easy adjustment but I did not investigate to determine
- The paint isn't horrible but does look best from 10' away. The trunk lid was repainted and you can tell, some oxidation by the trunk and hood area - see pics
- Emergency brake does not always grab
- Power Mirrors do not seem to work
Improvements
- The car just had the rear brakes with new rotors installed and comes with new front brake pads with new rotors
- Toyo tires appear to be new all around
- A/C appears to work fine and was one of the items that was repaired and replaced in 2006
- Power Windows operate well - as well as any Alfa which means slow...
- Comes with original owners manual
I am selling because my daughter will be going to an expensive college and I am partially financing with the sale of some of my cars. I recently obtained this Alfa Romeo so it will be the first to go. I looked for one that was this British Racing Green type color so sad to see it go.
I am describing the car to the best of my knowledge and would encourage you to inspect the car or have someone inspect. I am not asking top dollar for the car as I know it can use a few things to make perfect but it is a nice car for the price. The car will be sold with a clear Oregon Title and if sold in California where the car is now it will NOT come with a CA Smog Certificate for transfer. I see no reason it will not pass but I do not want to be responsible for obtaining.
