1989 Alfa Romeo Milano Additional Info:
For those unfamiliar with Milanos, this is the top-of-the-line 3.0L model, which came standard with limited slip differential, more aggressive bodywork, revised Verde-specific instruments and Recaro seats. I bought this car several months ago in Seattle and had the seats, headliner and centre armrest redone before taking delivery and driving it back to Vancouver, BC. The upholstery was done in the Centerline International reproduction fabric, which is a replica of the Recaro material but much more durable. The car runs and drives well and comes with a thick stack of service records dating back to when it was new. Recent work includes new timing belt, tensioner, power steering hose, thermostat and water pump, oil change, brake system and cooling system flush, fuel injector and induction system cleaning, and a/c overhaul (a/c works and blows cold). The engine was professionally rebuilt 70,000 miles ago. Power windows and locks all work. I have noted the known issues in the Condition Description section of this listing. Unfortunately, a month ago the car was damaged in my building's automated parking garage due to a system malfunction. The exhaust system sustained some damage and the rear passenger-side door was scraped and punctured (pictured). I had plans to repair the damages and have the car repainted at the same time, as the paint is tired overall commensurate with the vehicle's age and mileage. However, I have 6 cars and will be down one parking spot come October, so I have decided to part with the Alfa. It could be driven as-is (as I still do from time to time), repaired/restored or used for parts. It is a pleasure to drive and I am hoping that it will go to someone who would be inclined to fix it up. The car comes with complete owner's manual set, comprehensive service records, European grille (as pictured), factory fitted trunk boxes and complete tool briefcase. 25+ year-old cars are DOT and EPA exempt in general, but this car was sold new in the US and remained there until very recently, making it that much easier to bring back into the US. It also confirms to California regulations and can be registered there. I would be happy to answer any questions that you might have. This is a 5-day no-reserve auction, as I am looking for a quick sale, so please do not bid unless you are serious and have cash on hand.
