1990 Volkswagen Bus/Vanagon Additional Info:

Wonderful 1990 Volkswagen Vanagon Carat Wolfsburg Edition. Enhanced suspension and rare manual transmission for this year. Van hasvery clean, original Weekenderinterior, with folding table, jump seat that makes a comfy bedand two rear facing captain's chairs. Smells good. Super fun van that's ready for adventure! Passed CA smog on 5/30/17.

Wasserboxer engine/ head gasketsprofessionally rebuilt (donor engine from my previous 1990 GL Vanagon)by Cory Motors in Santa Barbara, CA in 2013. Good power, takes hills well and loves to be driven.Recent tune-up, oil change and new alternator. 4 new tires. Toronado Red paint is sadly fading (see pictures)and you will likely want to have a new coat in the not too distant future. Two rust spots on roof, please see pictures. No larger than a quarter in size.

The passengerpower window is functioning at this time. The driver's side powerwindow regulator will need to be replaced. The regulator is readily available part (around $85 on eBay), power window motor is strong. This would be my next project on the van. Also the belt in the tape deck is worn out and needsto be changed. AM/FM tuner works great, speakers loud and clear. We've used a cassette to headphone output converter for ipod play for years and it works perfectly. Air Conditioning needs a recharge. Rear hatch hydraulics are strong, with no leak and hatch opens fully as engineered, no need to prop open.

Reasonable offers considered- especially for local interest. Please, no low ballers or tire kickers. This is a clean, well maintained, much-loved van and we'd like to see it go to the right owner who will continue to give it the TLC that Volkswagens need- but we're in no rush to sell.
