For Sale my 1987 Super rare top of the range 7 seater weekender Vanagon GL Wolfsburg edition. AKA Carat. These were made before the Carat was re named. Same spec. I have owned many Vanagons and T25’s as they are called in UK where I grew up.
The Wolfsburg edition vans come with the following factory feature:
7 seater
Rear full width bed
Full set of curtains
Pop up table
Front captains seats with arm rests
Rear wiper
Rev counter
Auto transmission
Power steering
Air conditioning
Central locking (could do with a overhaul- kind of works sometimes)
I have invested over $6000 dollars into this rare gem.
All receipts are included along with the factory VW manual.
Brand new front windshield
And front and rear wiper blades
Brand new front clear turn signal lenses.
Brand new front antenna included (not fitted)
17" Alloy wheel rims with new tires.
Things still needed to do that I can recommend include
Fit front orange light bulbs for turn signals
Some light bulbs need changing
One of the 3 rear headrests has a little damage in a corner.
No jack. I used my own trolley jack to fit the Rims.
The AC ducts need re fitting and the AC needs to be checked over.
Seats. Carpet and bed could do with a shampoo clean.
One of the rear seats needs greasing, its stuck in the up position.
I bought this because I know how rare and fully loaded they are. I had my local VW garage go over it and also fit a motor with 125K on it. As the previous owner had removed so many parts off the original motor. So the van has done 233k but the engine only 125k. I bought the engine along with a Syncro of a ex VW Porsche mechanic.
Nu Vintage also fitted a new water temp sensor, water sensor seal, drive belts, heater hoses, new break master cylinder, new wiper switch, installed a new fuel pump, reassembled the rear breaks and more.
So to recap. This is a wonderful solid rare Wolfsburg vanagon with zero rust, new paint and is fully loaded. Great investment for the future.
Any questions please ask. I also have loads more photos tht I have taken that I can send upon your request.
