1970 MGB GT California Car, Stored 33 Years ......please be patient while the many photos load.....

1970 MG BGT Split Bumper for sale. This California Car was stored 33 years and in need of a complete restoration. The split bumper cars are the rarest of all. The first 1970 split-bumper produced was # 187841. This example is 187979 making it the 138th built in September of 1969. This car includes some old documentation and actually still has its original set of California issued blue license plates. It originally came from San Diego until 1978 then lived in Encino until a year ago.

I spoke to the previos owner who told me it was used until 1986 then parked. His son began disassembling the dash to replace at some point then never did anything else. I purchased it into my inventory from a colleague who bought it when purchasing an eType from this same family. I wanted to do a complete restoration on a split bumper and this was a good candidate, especially with it's California heritage, blue plates and ownership records tracing it back to the '70s and being British Racing Green was the icing on the cake for me. Unfortunately I won't have time for any restoration projects any time soon so have decided to pass it along. The motor turns though I have not attempted to start it. Look over the photos, everything you see is included. I received the car with no gauges but bought replacements. I also purchased a new fuel tank and fuel pump. If my reserve is met I will include. If not, these items can be negotiated.
