1967 Ford Other Additional Info:

Up for bids is a 1967 Ford LTD 4-Door Hardtop, equipped with 390 Engine, 2 barrel carburetor, MX Transmission, A/C, PS, PB - original equipment.
I'm selling the car because I don't have the time to finish it. I bought the car because I wanted to restore it completely and I liked the look of the 4-Door Hardtop.
The car runs and drives fine, no major problems. All parts that I have acquired over the years for this car that I have mentioned below are included in the auction, as well as screws and attaching parts for them, (with the exception of the very few screws that may have been misplaced). I have been pretty careful to keep things all together. All the parts are included to make this a nice complete car.
The title is clear and in my name.
Please read the description below for an accurate picture of what is included in the auction.
Please don't bid unless you intend to follow through with the sale.
Buyer pays for and arranges any shipping.
Some history:
I bought the car in 2001 from the original owner in Charlotte, NC.
The car was purchased new by the original owner from Dixon Ford in Mt. Holly, NC.
The actual mileage is as indicated on the odometer, 92916.7 miles. Of course the mechanical limits of the odometer don't allow for the 100k position, but my bill of sale from the original owner states the mileage as accurate, and I haven't driven it that much, only about 6400 miles over the 15 years that I've owned it.
What I've done:
Had the original engine rebuilt by J.P's Auto shop in Fort Mill, SC in April 2002, no major modifications.
I did some minimal body work on the car and repainted it netween 2005 and 2012. I took all of the body down to bare metal. There was some rust in the door corners that I had to cut out and weld in metal, there was some rust in the cowl that I sprayed with converter and then fiberglassed over. There was also a rust spot in the interior corner of the driver door that I had to cut out and fiberglass over. All of my rust repairs were coated inside with POR 15 because I did not want the rust to come back. I repainted the car with Sherwin Ultra 7000 two-stage paint/clear, and it still looks pretty good. The pictures show the general condition of the car, exterior is in good shape and very straight with the exception of a deep scratch on the right rear side that includes some paint chipping. Some of the scratch could probably be buffed out, but some paint touch-up will be required.
The trunk is solid though it has a little surface rust. There is one small spot in the front passenger floor pan that is rusty that will need to be repaired.
--Bumpers rechromed in 2010 by Bumper Boyz.
--New Cooper tires in 2011.
--Flowmaster 50 Series exhaust with all stainless pipes in 2011 by Muffler Masters in Concord, NC. Low rumble that is not loud at all. I love the way it sounds.
--New front brakes and drums, as well as master and booster in approximately 2012.
--Replaced the right side exhaust manifold gasket in 2015. The left manifold has developed a tick recently, I have the gasket for it in case the buyer wants to replace it.
--Added an AM/FM radio that was rebuilt by a fellow ebayer a few years back, it works fairly well.
--Rebuilt the carburetor earlier this summer because some bugs got in the fuel bowl and clogged things up a little.
The car hasn't been driven much over the past 3 years, but I drive it every month to keep things lubricated and turned.
As you can see in the pictures, there are still some exterior trim pieces that need to be put back on it, and the interior needs to be re-assembled. The original dash pad I have isn't in terrible shape, it has a tear around the speaker grille as most do. I have a black dash pad cover that can be colored and placed over the original.
I tried to picture everything that needs to be put back on the car in the auction pictures of the individual parts. There are 4 aluminum trim pieces that need to be polished with steel wool after being stripped of their coating, those are the pieces that sit at the top of the door where the window meets the anti-rattle strip. I have the picture of those that I'll send to anyone who wants all the pictures.
Over the years I bought lots of parts on ebay and at local car shows to improve the exterior and interior, so many of the exterior chrome parts are in much better shape than they were when I bought the car.
Here are some of the parts I bought that were in exceptional or near NOS shape:
--Side and rear badges
--Tail lights
--Headlight doors (and pads)
--Parking lights and lenses
--Door handles
--Belt-line trim
--Lower molding
--Grill
--Grill badge
--Trunk and hood lettering
--Brake and Belt warning lights
I bought some black interior trim from a fellow ebayer (see Used Replacement Parts below) that I was going to re-color to match the original dark blue.
New parts:
--Door seals and roof rail seals that are required to complete the project. I replaced the trunk seal.
--Burtex-type trunk mat set that is pictured - the trunk will look great with it.
--NOS dash bezel that is pictured, very very nice.
--New door lock knobs.
Used Interior Replacement parts:
I bought some interior trim from a fellow ebayer that is black in color with the intent of re-coloring it and replacing any of the blue pieces that were in rough shape.
There were two original interior trim pieces that weren't salvageable due to sun damage, those were the pieces that fit next to the rear seat back that wrap over the metal and meet the bottom of the c-pillar (opera) panels. I have the black-colored replacements for those, and those are the only black panels that would be "required" in addition to the original panels in order to have a complete set.
The 'extra' black interior pieces that I have in addition to those are: A pillar covers, B pillar covers, C pillar covers (opera panels).
There are pictures of all of those things that I will send to anyone who is interested in seeing them, since I was focused on other things in the pictures that I included in the auction and was limited in the number I could post.
The headliner needs to be replaced, it has a couple of holes in it. I checked several years ago and SMS had headliner and seat vinyl and cloth material that matched the originals.
Seats are in fair shape but should be recovered, the front seat is showing wear and there is a tear in the rear face of the front seat.
Extra mechanical parts:
--Master Cylinder
--Rear brake shoes
--A/C hose (NOS)
--Condenser
--Ball joints (new)
--Control arm bushings (new).
--Driver door hinge
--Driver door window regulator
Extra trim/other pieces:
--Various external belt molding and lower trim pieces most of which are in rough shape
--Door panel red/white light covers set
--Door panel lights set
--Opera panel lights set
--Front grill (needs to be rechromed)
--Hubcap.
--Full Shop Manual.
Here's what I know doesn't work on the car:
A/C - needs a charge and perhaps other things compressor turns.
Horn (very weak sqwawk instead of a full honk)
Windshield washer (though I have a new bag and pump installed that just needs to be hooked up, only a piece of hose is required.)
Transmission has a leak around the pan gasket somewhere, the gasket may need to be replaced, I have to add fluid occasionally, the transmission works just fine.
The driver door will not stay open, it needs the retainer repaired, I have the extra hinge required.
Anyone who is local and would like to see the car is welcome to come see it, just message me via ebay and we can set it up.
I'm willing to go over spare parts and screws, etc with the Winning bidder so that the buyer knows what is what.
Basically it's a solid car that needs some interior work and some exterior trim put back on.
Transportation of the car is at the buyer's expense. The car runs and drives, so it can be driven home or placed on a flatbed without much difficulty.
The car is in Charlotte NC and is sold where-is, as-is, no warranty, etc.
I prefer payment via cash or certified check when the sale closes.
