1991 Chevrolet Camaro B4C “Police Package” Additional Info:
Here is the rare beauty you’ve been searching for! Only 592 of these rolled off the production line in 1991. Their creation was a result of the California Highway Patrol evaluating a dozen specially prepared Z28s as high speed pursuit vehicles in 1979. Chevrolet responded to complaints heard from police departments by offering a special equipment option (SEO), “Special Service Package” (RPO B4C). They were basically Z28s with RS trim. Do your own research. Interesting history on this classic “Muscle Car”.
I am the 4th owner of this vehicle. It has been lovingly maintained for 11 years. Garage kept, non-smoker, no kids or pets have gotten to cruise around in this baby. The family SUV was used for those enjoyable trips! Maintenance has been kept up, starter replaced September 2018. New tires, and total body was painted to match the factory color. Interior is in very good shape! No rips, tears, stains on the interior upholstery. Minor ding on driver’s side view mirror and minor scrape on front, lower bumper where it had scraped a parking lot barrier. The rubber seals around doors and windows are beginning to show wear from heat and age. The headliner is in great shape! I will provide more interior pictures because the ones I downloaded make the interior seats look orange and faded. I reassure you they are NOT! I took the photos on a very sunny day. They didn’t do the car justice. The cars interior is red, with very minimal fading. The car is equipped with air conditioning, but it doesn’t work. The knob to adjust the fan for defrost and heat works, but is loose. No major repairs needed! Mechanically sound. I would trust the car to make a long distance trip, but I don’t because I’ve been keeping the mileage low. I think the neatest thing about this car, other than its classic looks, is the fact (and it’s happened more than on one occasion) that when I’m sitting at a stop light and a “youngster” pulls up beside me. They’re driving their new “bad boy” and they give me “that look”. I smile, nod, and then I leave them in the dust when the light turns green. I’d give anything to have a better view of the look on their faces because they've underestimated, and didn’t know, what was under this “RS’s” hood!! Priceless!!! I will answer any questions and provide more photos to anyone seriously interested in this rare jewel. Many are probably wondering why I’m selling? I don’t want to share that info on this site, but I will share the reason with the individual that I’m praying will be the highest bidder and cherish this car and it’s history. Best of luck! Let the bidding begin. You won’t be disappointed if you are the lucky, new owner.
