1957 Willys with hardtop and snow plow Additional Info:
Up for NO RESERVE bid is a VERY NICE 1957 Willys Jeep 4x4, mostly all original and restored. It has the original 4 cylinder motor that was rebuilt and gone through by previous owner (runs like a top) Four speed manual transmission and transfer case are all original and work as they should. It has a very nice metal hardtop. All Glass is perfect with no cracks or major pits. I have owned it for four years and always garaged it and it shows. I am only selling it because I rarely use it and it just collects dust, maybe used it three to four times a year over the past four years. The outside color is purple with a light grayish color on the hardtop. Accents are in black and has black fender flairs and wheels. Interior is purple and black. The body is VERY solid. At some point the original floor panels were replaced everything else metal wise is VERY SOLID. Has an aftermarket grey carpet in the front and rear and heavy duty rubber floor mats. The jeep starts easy with the manual choke and fuel primer even when very cold outside. It drives as it should but it is not an ideal highway jeep due to lower gearing. You will probably not find a nicer jeep in this condition for the money anywhere. It also has a WESTERN BRAND hydraulic snow plow that is mounted and will go with it. There is an up down hydraulic level on the drivers side and the pump is mounted on the back drivers side fender inside the cab. The plow has a manual pin where you can angle the blade if needed. The plow itself is in good shape and I have used the plow maybe three or four times and it works as it should.
This 1957 Willy's Jeep has the following:Western hydraulic plow and mount system (4K alone), Block Heater, Roll Bar, Metal Hardtop, Metal Hardtop Doors with roll down glass windows, rear hatch struts work, rear bumper seems to be original, has a swing out rear spare tire carrier with full sized spare on steel wheel, 4 speed manual with granny gear, high, low and super low transfer case which is all original, original drivers windshield wiper motor works and passenger side is a manual wiper, heater works, has an aftermarket fan for defrost and to circulate air that works off a switch, has interior dome light aftermarket that works, all gauges appear to work as they should, even the original Motorola AM radio works, has an aftermarket fuel pump primer, the carburetor is new and it will also come with a spare new carburetor, the manual choke is hooked up to a dash pull knob, has two aftermarket cab lights mounted on hardtop roof that has an on off switch mounted on the dash, also has a yellow strobe light also mounted on the roof that is run off a dash switch as well. Not sure of the gearing but it is very low so I would not recommend it for highway or high speeds. It DOES NOT have power steering or seat belts as neither was an option back in 1957 from Willy's. Being it is a 1957 jeep and 63 years old the miles are unknown but almost all of the jeep appears to be original and in very good condition.
The exhaust system has been replaced, Also comes with 31 inch BF Goodrich comp t/a tires with decent aggressive tread 65% with some light weathering but very drive-able with even wear. The rims are Mickey Thompson steel black mag wheels with chrome center-caps. Also has an higher end optima sealed battery.
Since I owned it, I replace the thermostat and thermostat gasket along with an antifreeze flush, new hoses and new belt (All with receipts) Someone stole the original front and rear seats out of it prior to me purchasing the jeep. I had a custom seat bracket made and mounted gray cloth seats out of a 1995 mustang gt in it. KNOWN ISSUES:The drivers side seat is mounted but I never mounted the passenger side seat. Easy to do just have not made the time to do it.The turn signals do not work- guessing wiring but have not chased it down. Everything turn signal wise is there. The horn is there but not hooked up as it has an aftermarket steering wheel. Once again the original horn and wiring is there. The glass on the passenger side hardtop came off the track and needs to be re-aligned back on the track. It has aftermarket rear led brake lights that work, headlights work as well. Tailgate opens and closes as it should along with the rear hardtop hatch. I would rate the paint a solid 7.5 to 8 out of 10 and the interior the same an 8.5 out of 10. This jeep is basically turn key and is not perfect but it very close with very light TLC required. You could not even restore the jeep or buy the plow alone for what I am asking. The jeep would be ideal for parades or a Willy's jeep collector and I hope it goes to a great home. It's almost too nice to even plow with.
The jeep with also come with extras: an extra brand new carburetor, four extra original willy's steel rims and skinny tires which are dry rotted, all my receipts for the belts, hoses, thermostat, gaskets, and antifreeze.
I am located in SW Montana outside Whitehall, MT which is in between Bozeman and Butte, Montana and I am not too far from Yellowstone Park either. You are welcome to see it in person prior to bidding with an appointment. It is garaged and I have enough land to test drive it and try everything out. I WILL NOT RELEASE THE JEEP OR TITLE UNTIL PAYMENT IS MADE IN FULL. I will require a non-refundable $500 dollar deposit via cash in person or pay-pal within 24 hours of winning the NO RESERVE auction. The remaining balance needs to be cash in person or a certified cashier's check only. ONCE AGAIN funds will be verified and cashed prior to me releasing the jeep and title. It has a free and clear Montana title that will be notarized and ready for the new owner. The jeep is sold "as is where is" with no warranty expressed or implied. With prior payment in full, I can store the jeep in a garage until mid May 2020 if it helps the new owner logistics wise. Winning bidder is responsible for all transportation cost. Jeep is listed locally so I reverse the right to sell outright and end the auction early if sold locally. Thank you for looking and good luck.
