What you're looking at is a beautiful 1966 Volvo P1800-S!
The Volvo P1800 was first made famous in "The Saint" with Roger Moore in the 60's with his white Volvo P1800, and 1966 is a great production year for this car, as it's the same year that Irv Gordon was able to set his record for car mileage in a P1800 using a similar '66 B18 engine. Only 39k of these cars were ever produced, (only 4,500 in 1966 alone!) - so this is a VERY rare beauty! If you've been looking for a Volvo P1800 that needs some light restoration & some TLC to get truly roadworthy, then this car is your dream come true.
Stylish detail has been given to this car, and you can see it in the photos: the red leather interior is fairly new, and carpeting has also been recently installed. A few blemishes here & there on the leather panels, but as you can see from the photos it presents well and is guaranteed to turn heads. The rare mahogany wooden steering wheel & AMCO shifting knob round out the interior with style. The dashboard has also been recently capped, and the interior looks great. The instruments have been cleaned and all look great as well. Temperature gauge & the clock don't work (which is typical for these cars) but these can be easily sourced. Heater motor works on one setting, the lighter works as does the overdrive, blinkers & headlights. The wipers & dashboard lights work, and the windshield itself has a couple of wiper scratches, and i've included a LOT of photos so you get the full picture.
The engine: she has a B18 that runs, but definitely needs TLC to get truly road worthy and you'll want to run her quite a bit before bringing her out. Like most classic cars, she will need a frequent tune up w/spark plugs and will need frequent fluid changes as well. New chrome carb covers have been installed, along with a chrome engine cover, fairly new fan & ignition wiring, new gas tank, fairly new radiator & as you can see, the engine bay looks good and what you see is what you get. Ignition switch is repaired and she starts no problem. Exhaust system on this car is also in great shape and is fairly new. Beautiful Minilite rims have been added to this car (which look amazing on a P1800), and the Bridgestone tires are in great shape as well and have less than 20 miles on them.
The Brakes: You will want to add brake fluid & bleed & inspect the brakes before you take her out as they're a touch spongy but they work. The front 2 calipers & rotors & pads are all fairly new, and the parking brake works and I'm including a spare tire as well.
Car body: This car was originally on the West coast prior to her finding her way to Eastern shore of MD, and is in great condition for the most part and presents well. However, a few rust spots are evident on the body, and the hood has a couple of micro-holes in it & was touched up w/spray paint (along with the passenger-side rock panel via the previous owner), so you will want to have this car properly painted & restored to bring her to showroom glory. I've done my best to provide plenty of photos so what you see is what you get. New Metallic trim for the most part, front grille surround has small crack, and the undercarriage has some rust spots as well and you'll see it in the photos, mostly a simple fix so it's nothing major. The car presents very well as you can see in the photos and is guaranteed to turn heads regardless. You can see more photos here as well: (https://shoreportraits.pic-time.com/hW56E4QAOogzq)
