This 66' Volvo 1800s comes from a previous ownership of 15 years from Oregon. A recent mechanical refurbishment has been done and now is ready for a new owner. See video and photo album links below for greater detail.
The B20 engine has extremely strong compression 160-168 psi in all cylinders and still have the original SU carb setup which idles nicely around 900 rpms. Its runs and drives good, the original brake booster is still installed and works good which is pretty rare, the overdrives doesn't engage, I think it's the solenoid, still tinkering on it. The windshield washer bottle is missing but I do have the hoses. (not pictured) The engine bay is very clean and shows some but not much wear. I have installed a push button ignition switch, it works when the stock ignition is turned to the second position, this is to prevent keys from commonly breaking off.
The body is straight, no rust bubbles or dings and no dents. The last paint job was in in the early 2000's when the last owners purchased it, it's not a perfect paint job but it's very presentable. Upon closer inspections you will see rock chips, some over spray, some previous body work near rocker panels and some small scrapes, to win any car shows it would need a new paint job, this one is a ten footer. The interior has upgraded seats with headrests from a later Volvo 1800e which are worn and cracked a bit. The top and bottom dashboard don't have any cracks and all the gauges are there. The stock radio is missing along with the antenna. The interior is original still sporting the original Volvo emblems in the upholstery. Currently still working on getting the lights/signals to work, looks to be a short in the light switches or fuse box, still working on it now. The floor doesn't have any rust and is solid, there is rust in the short 12" cross members where the front jack points are, I will include a new set with the car. The glass is good in the car, no chips or cracks. The bright work on the car is good, some small dings and dents but still very presentable.
I do have a set of original hub caps that comes with the car, will take a photo of them today and add to the album. It comes with it's original owners manual and some original owner books. The car is in Olympia WA with a clean and clear title.
Overall this is a great candidate for a full restoration or as an original driver with some work being done.
