1990 Volvo Other Deluxe Additional Info:
This is a fine example of the Volvo 780 Bertone. Paint and mechanical in above average condition. I am a Volvo enthusiast and maintain my cars in high order. Timing belt, water pump, engine seals have all been replaced within the last 5,000 miles. The suspension is tight (front suspension components replaced under my ownership) The engine has no leaks and is very responsive. The car runs, shifts and drives as would be expected from a Turbo-ed 780 Bertone. This Bertone has been my daily driver for years and the mileage may change as it is still driven daily. The only issue that detracts from this auto is the top of the back seat has sun damage and needs to be addressed. This Bertone has a reconstructed title because in the wisdom of the insurance company it was eaiser to pay off the car than to deal with a very minor repair. The damage was a collapsed rear bumper shock from backing into a parking lot pole. There was no damage to the bumper, any body panels nor the paint. Basically a 40 dollar fix for a bumper shock from a salvage yard. I have pictures of the damage. This car has had no paint damage (original paint with no oxidation), no panel damage, no undercarriage damage, no rust and no water damage, it's a very straight and well sorted car. I'm 70 years old and selling all my cars to go in a new direction. I will also be listing another Volvo 780 (Maroon), a 1991 Volvo 240 SE wagon (red), a 1984 242 turbo (blue) and a 1992 Volvo 740 Turbo Wagon (red) in the near future. As I said I'm a Volvo enthusiast but its time for some changes in my life. The winning bidder will also have the opportunity to purchase a rare IPD rear sway bar for the independent suspension. This is a fly in and drive home vehicle if so desired, shipping will be the responsibility of the winning bidder as will a deposit of 250 dollars at the end of the auction. I am retired and available if a bidder wants to inspect or have the car inspected prior to bidding. A reasonable reserve has been set for the car reflecting its condition. Funds for the car will have to clear before auto is released.
