1990 Volvo 780 Bertone Additional Info:
This is the secondof three Volvo 780 Bertones in my car collection which I am liquidating do to my age. This780 is in above average condition having spent it's entire time on the west coast, first in California then, garagekept in Oregon. Interior and paint reflectsthis as does the totally rust free body and under carriage. The smooth running turbo engine and properly shiftingtransmission result in enjoyable Hwy cruising. The interior is in great condition with the exception of the top of the rear seat where the stitching and leather is sun damaged, wood trim. The driver seat has just been professionally recovered in high quality vinyl(if there is such a thing, we call it pleather) and looks great. This has been one of my daily drivers since acquiring it. I have been driving and working onVolvo's since 1976. The timing belt and tensioner, front engine seals, water pump, harmonic balancer and fuel pump have just been replaced in anticipation of a road trip which did not materialize. This is truly a fly in and drive home car and I would be comfortable driving across the US and back. May even be talked into personally delivering car depending on my schedule andreimbursement
of trip costs. Now to the title. The title has a reconstructed brand. The story on the car is my brother in California knowing my history with Volvo's contacted me when his neighbors car was totaled by his insurance company. His neighbor backed into a pole in a parking lot and made contact with the driver side rear bumper and collapsed the bumper shock leaving the bumper at an angle. No damage to the body or paint, just a collapsed shock. the bumper wasn't even scratched! The insurance company in their wisdom totaled the car. I have pictures of the damage when I received the car. The only thing I had to do to the car was replace the shock and all was well. Bidders based upon my description will have the option to have the car inspected for any damage other than as described and if found have the option of retracting any bids. I'm confident upon inspection the only damage to the car was asdescribed above. This truly a very nice car. The reserve price reflects the condition of the car and not the status of the title.I encourage inspections before purchasing; if out of town and having it shipped I am happy to take it to have it inspected on your behalf, at your cost.
