1983 Volvo 240 Additional Info:
1983 Volvo 240 Turbo 2 door with a 4 speed manual transmission with overdrive. Here's your chance to own a rare version of the iconic Volvo 240 series. This Volvo is loaded with options. The 4 speed transmission shifts flawlessly and the overdrive works great. This car is set up to be able to cruise down the highway at 70 mph, but it also has enough low end torque to have plenty of fun in town. This Volvo runs and drives great. The Turbo works as it should. A/C works, but it might need to be charged, I haven't used it since last Summer. Everything works as it should on this car. Sunroof cranks open and close and the automatic windows both work. Tires are pretty decent. They don't look like they have too many miles on them, but they are older.
The car has a little bit of rust on the back passenger quarter panel, but I have the replacement piece that just needs to be welded in. There is also a small amount of rust on the drivers side quarter panel, but it should easily be patched. It looks like the paint is mostly original, but somebody sprayed primer on the roof and the drivers side quarter panel is painted flat black. It looks alright right now for a driver, but the pictures speak for themselves. This car came original with leather seats originally, but over the years they have all cracked. I have installed some cheap seat covers that get the job done, but for an original look the seats will need to be recovered. Otherwise the interior is pretty decent for being over 30 years old.
This car has been taken care of very well mechanically. It has never given me any problems in he few years that I have owned it and the previous owner kept the car up very well. I would drive it almost anywhere in the mechanical state it is in now. I wish I could keep it and fix it up a little bit, but I no longer have a need for it and it is taking up room. It would be best to come check the car out before buying it, but I have explained the car pretty well and I can assure you it runs and drives well. If you have any questions contact me at 405-550-2440 or send me a message here through eBay. Again this is a great car that just needs a little cosmetic help. I've been driving it this way for a while and I don't mind the way it looks, but the car is very rare and unique and deserves to be fixed up a bit!
