I bought this car in San Francisco California pretty much because it had a list of rare options that my other 240 wagons didn’t. The factory power sunroof, original working 8 track tape player and the fact that it was a 4 speed Turbo being the biggest draw for me.
Ipurchased the wagon from a dealer who had gotten it from the original owner.
It’s a great little car, runs, shifts and drives very well, I’ll miss it greatly, but I’m attempting todownsize the vehicle hoard a bit.
Overall, the car is inbeautiful condition, she’s nearly 34 years old and still looks very good. There are a few expected scratches and dings on the car, the worst being the right front door where there appears to have been an amateur scratch repair done at sometime in the cars past. If you're in search of a museumquality vehicle, this may not be the 240 for you, she is really clean, but she does have some scratches and a couple of dings.
The underside of the wagon is very clean, rockers and floors are solid as when new. On the rear lower quarters where the mud flaps mount are two dime size paint bubble areas.
There is a year and color correct 3rd row seat included with the car, I had found it at a swap meet earlier this year, but never got around to having it installed. It’s pictured in the rear cargo area of the wagon.
All power components and options on the wagon work as they should except for the power antenna and the oil temp sensor. The sensor was seeping a small amount of oil, so the Volvo shop that servicesthe wagonreplaced it with a plug.I've ordered two new sensors, but neither one was correct, the threads were wrong on both.
There are no fluid leaks that I am aware of.
She runs cool, even in the Florida summer heat.
Also, there is a stain in the middle of the back seat that wouldn’t come up with leather cleaner. Not sure what it is.
The seats look lighter colored in the photographs then they actually are, They are a light to medium tan.
Window tint was done about a year ago, 30% on front windows, 15% on rear.
Clean/Clear Florida title.
If you have any questions, feel free to shoot me an email. If you are local and would like to see the car in person, let me know and we’ll work something out. I have some photos of the cars undercarriage, let me know if you'd like them. I can only send a couple at a time via eBay though.
Shipping if needed is up to the winning bidder.
Thanks much.
