Early 1971 Volvo 1800E Coupe, collectible with matching numbersconfirmed by Volvo Historical Archive. Complete car for light resto.CA car, 1 owner until 2017. 139k miles, documentation includes manual for the rare Volvo badged AC.102 Steel Blue Metallic, black seats, brown carpet.Built late 1970 with the desirable 130hp high compression B20E scalloped head, confirmed by Volvo Historical Archive.4-speed w overdrive.Tires are new 185/65/15 Continental on authentic Minilites.Original black mag style wheels included.CA Blue plate, registration is paid up to Feb 2018.The car is 95% rust free. The instruments including the clock work.Engine starts with starter gas and runs smoothly without misfire until it suddenly cuts off. My assumption is there is some electrical glitch.
At the very least this car needs attention to the following:Contacts, fuses, sensors to be checked for good contact.Exterior paint is faded with multiple dents and some chrome pieces are dented.Interior needs a little upholstery work, driver side door handle, front seats, upper dash pad.Lock and ignition key cylinders need replacement. Sourcing new replacement lock cylinders with keys can be facilitated via Volvo vintage parts retailers.Exhaust system needs at minimum a new rear muffler.
The car is offered for sale locally as well and I reserve the right to cancel this auction at any time unless reserve price has been met.
