1970 Volkswagen Karmann Ghia Additional Info:
I was originally selling this car non running and with a single carb set up. I found a great mechanic that did a complete tune up, replaced coil, cap and rotor, wires, spark plugs, adjusted the valves, gave it an oil change and put on and synced the dual Webbers. This sale is for my true VW lovers! This is for people that know and understand what this car is and can appreciate the time that was taken. Mechanically, the engine is a custom built 2180cc with approximately 10k (150k on the body) with Dual 44 Webbers. It has a full aluminum block, balanced crank and is cammed. The manual trans has been geared to accommodate the engine and has no issues whatsoever. Cosmetically, the car has been lowered front and rear with narrowed front beam. The wheels, bumpers and mirrors were dipped grey for a different look and chrome underneath shines bright. The paint still looks good with very minor surface rust in certain spots. Custom wing that was taken from a Saturn. Rust is minimal and the floor pans are fine. The design on the side of the car is a sticker and can be removed but you'd have to reprint those areas after you do so. The car still needs to be detailed to bring out its true appearance. The interior is fully custom including dash, again the dash is custom fiberglass and isn't original along with the steering wheel, seats, door panels and carpet. It has all vdo gauges and an older aftermarket radio that is fully functioning. This VW is a beast! If you find a better Karmann Ghia for the money buy it! Feel free to come and take a look at the vehicle before you bid. You are bidding to own not to come and take a look at. Below are three videos of the car that will allow you to make a more informed decision. The first video shows all of the imperfections. The second and third video are of the car as it sits and runs today. Thanks
