Volkswagen Type 3 Notchback with a slide roof recently professionally restored!Runs and drives beautifully. This is an original German car which is reflected by the original owner’s documentation. This is an excellent example of an original car as it was garaged for 40 years.

Modified engine:

The stock engine was built out to a 1840 displacement but made to look stock. Racing trans axle and tuned carburetors.

Modified Brakes:

The stock drums have been upgraded to 4 wheel disk brakes with oversized calipers and rotors. We have obtained all of the original parts and can provide them if so desired.

Interior:

New interior made with the period correct fabric and carpet. With tasteful upgrades and professional look.

The Volkswagen Type 3 was introduced in 1961. Created to be a compact family car, the Type 3 was available in three main body styles, a two door notchback, a two door fastback, and a two door squareback. Two flat four engines were available, a 1500cc and a 1600cc. The Type 3 was in production until 1973.

Owners:

Originally from Germany. 2nd owner brought it in to the US and garaged for 10 years. 3rd owner garaged it for 30 years and recently completed the restoration.
