1968 Volkswagen Type III Notchback Additional Info:

Super rare, hard to find and rarely up for sale, 1968 VW type 3 NOTCHBACK.This car is in driver condition. Looks like it was restored in the early 90's. Has some bubbles coming thru as seen in the photos, but for a VW, its quite solid.The rear deck lid has bubbles on both corners. One lower front fender has bubbles. Few bubbles between side quarter window and rear glass. Two welded in patches on the floor. The spare tire well and front trunk is rock solid.The interior is a 90's gray tweed. Free of rips or tears but just a little outdated. The black headliner is perfect. All original glass. The car is a radio delete vehicle. Needs a new ignition cylinder. Key works fine, but something wrong internally so a separate starter button has been added. As shown, the steering wheel has been replaced.The engine is a late 70's 1970cc motor, backed up with an automatic transmission. Has brand new weber carbs and an electric fuel pump.The Notchback is set up with 4 wheel disc brakes, riding on vintage centerline wheels.
