Up for grabs is this incredibly well restored 1974 Karman Ghia in beautiful Phoenix Red over a nicely upgraded black vinyl and gray tweed interior. This was a full nut and bolt restoration and was done professionally, with tremendous care, and an honest respect for staying true to the essence of the original car. The engine fires right up, the rebuild maintains its appropriate format, compression and leak-down look great, she idles nicely, and pushes the car swiftly down the road. The transaxle and shift linkage all work in harmony as they should for a problem free cruise around town. I wouldn't hesitate to fire this girl up and take her anywhere. All lights work, horn works, gauges work, everything works. Wiring harness is entirely new. Tasteful classic looking blue-tooth audio installed works awesome. Hop in fire it up and tunes from your phone start playing. The top has also been restored 100% with all of the top quality materials, black luxury canvas, and works one handed with ease. This includes the highest quality top boot for when its down, no cracking shiny vinyl to detract from the beauty of the rest of it like so many others out there. The top is also the folding rear glass model with defroster which functions and looks SO much better than the soft window options. Tires are new as well. All the brakes are new. All the seals are new. The fuel system is new. Carb, Bosch coil, Pertronix electronic distributor, ALL NEW and quality parts. Like I said, it was a FULL restoration so you can essentially assume whatever should have been replaced with new has been. Also, the heat is hooked up and works :) There really isn't anything to apologize for on this car, or anything that the new owner should concern themselves with any time soon aside from just putting some well deserved miles on it. If you're not familiar with these car, please be prepared for the constant "what's that" and compliments, pictures etc. With such a beautifully designed Italian body, in such an Italian body color, wrapped around such reliable and owner friendly German engineering, this car is an excellent investment, and a blast to own. Don't sleep on this listing, you'd be hard pressed to find a better one I can guarantee you that!
All that said, this stunning example of a Ghia is being listed with clean clear MA title in hand and will be provided once funds clear. The only reason for the sale is that we are taking on another full blown restoration of an early Porsche and so this is helping move that along. The car will also be listed locally and on the forums and this I may end the listing early should it sell sooner. $34,500 gets you the car and ends the listing. Much more than that has gone into it I can assure you that! Insured for $50k with Hagerty. Given the nature of the car being a classic and all, I absolutely stand by my description but of course it’s being sold as is to the highest bidder. Payment should be made following a deposit via cash or wire transfer. Shipping or pickup is the buyers responsibility but I will help organize as best I can just be sure to communicate. Pickup is expected no later than ten days from auction close or storage fees of $50/day will be invoiced. If things are in motion don’t worry I’ll work with you. At the end of the day, my reputation on here and my involvement in this classics community is important. Please note any of my previous sales and feedback! This has got to be one of the if not the nicest no issues cars I've had the privilege of selling. You wont be disappointed. Best of luck
